Greetings, Steemians...

🌟It is Weekly Challenge Time🌟

This is my submission in Share Your Battle Weekly Challenge.

This week's theme is GELATINOUS CUBE

LORE

One night when the moons were full, the renegades of the *Lunta Kalna* performed a secret and powerful ritual. Their ceremony called forth forces of wind, rain and hail; for the first time ever in recorded history, there was a *hailstorm* in Draykh-Nahka. Except it wasn’t only hail that fell from the sky that night. There were also a small number of strange Cubes that seemed to be *alive*. They have the look of ice, but upon contact with most objects, the surface of the Cube turns to jelly and *absorbs* the object, rather noisily. It is assumed that this is how the Cubes eat. When attacked, Gelatinous Cubes can make their outer shell as hard as solid ice for a short time. They can also alter their size to some degree, swelling up and increasing their power, depending on how much they have absorbed that day.
I love GELATINOUS CUBE. First of all it has an amazing lore. Second is it has unique ability to absorb damage, because of Healing and Salvage ability. GELATINOUS CUBE are best suited for high mana battles on front or back ranks of the team, where they can provide cushion to the rest of team.

My Entry

This was a 40 mana battle with one rule: Lost Legendaries, meaning legendary monsters are out of the equation. Lost Legendaries rule, can sometimes benefit the weaker players relying mainly upon common, rare and epic monsters.

Team Selection and Placement

I used ALRIC STORMBRINGER summoner for this battle becuase I love playing with water splinter. My tilt is towards magic centered attacks has always surprised me.

Being a high mana battle, I used one of the best common water splinter monster upfront, SEA MONSTER. Big attack, decent health along with Heal and Thorns ability, makes me wonder if they are really common monsters. God, she looks even more awesome when wrapped in Gold.

On one down position, I placed.GELATINOUS CUBE. It was placed there to serve as a protection layer to the rest of my troops.

On third, I placed PRISMATIC ENERGY, to have another defensive layer. One of the best card to counter magic attack, because it has good health coupled with Magic Reflect and Void ability.

Next, I placed my NAGA WINDMASTER, to hamper the enemy's ranged attack ability and shatter the shields.

On the 2nd last position, I placed CORAL WRAITH. I haven't seen many players to mount defence against magic sneak attack.

On the very last, I used SEA GENIE. Decent magic attack coupled with Flying and Strengthen ability.

Remarks

This was a rather easy battle. The enemy's team selection was pretty poor. I mean why would anybody wanna use DARIA DRAGONSCALE summoner and not place even a single melee attack and dragon monster in its team.

GELATINOUS CUBE did it's job of holding the ground pretty well after the death of SEA MONSTER, thanks to the Healing and Scavenger ability.

Your lineup was totally sound... but you're right to question your opponent...
Sometimes I wonder how people get in higher leagues with such poor strategy. ... And then I remember that sometimes even I put in a bad team for whatever reason. 😏

Great post!
