# Back in Champion I - Splinter Stats Season 42 Report Card
@khazrakh
After a somewhat difficult last season, I've managed to bounce back pretty well this season. I decided to push for a higher rating on the last day but after some bad RNG/bad decisions that brought me quite a bit under 3700, I decided to let things be. I'm still pretty happy with my results as I've managed to get to Champion I with 2 days left to go and I didn't struggle nearly as much to climb the ladder as I did the last 2 seasons.

I'm pretty happy with my win ratio, especially when you consider that I don't play the Water Splinter at all and don't have nearly the collection a lot of the other top players have.
Tournament Ratio is looking bad but I forgot to list teams for one and stopped listing for another one when it became clear that I wouldn't make the cut.
Top 10 Summoner Usage
Summoner | Frequency | Teams Fielded | Win Rate |
---|---|---|---|
Yodin Zaku | 207 | 34.56% | 68.60% |
Owster Rotwell | 105 | 17.53% | 37.14% |
Pyre | 65 | 10.85% | 44.62% |
Daria Dragonscale | 64 | 10.68% | 56.25% |
Tyrus Paladium | 59 | 9.85% | 47.46% |
Scarred Llama Mage | 46 | 7.68% | 36.96% |
Mylor Crowling | 33 | 5.51% | 51.52% |
Selenia Sky | 19 | 3.17% | 42.11% |
Lyanna Natura | 1 | 0.17% | 0.00% |
I'm still doing really well with Yodin Zaku, the guy is just a beast. It's the obvious choice in most high mana Fire battles and more often than not I even field him when I expect my opponent to play a counter simply because he often will just blast through the counterplay just as well.
Owster Rotwell as second most used summoner shows a clear issue with my collection. He's a very specific summoner and outright amazing if I correctly predict my enemy to go with a magic heavy build. He's pretty bad in all other cases though and every other Death Summoner would be a better choice in those cases. I will have to get another Death Summoner to max level eventually.
I've also started to use Mylor Crowling and I'm pretty happy with him so far. I need to better understand when to use the Llama and when to go with Mylor, but overall I feel like he certainly is bringing a lot of versatility to my deck selection.

Monster usage basically just repeats what you can see from the Summoner Usage already. Fire is my best splinter by far. I've used Lord A a lot more than what I did in the last season and that helped me quite a bit. For Fire though, I feel like there's always a better choice for the first spot, so he only gets played with the other Splinters and thus his win rate is not that great.

I'm a bit surprised by how bad I seem to be at Up Close & Personal so I will have to look into that a little more. I also suck in Little League and Super Sneak which is mostly because I lack key cards for these rule sets.
Fog of War is my best ruleset by far which I don't really find to be surprising as it makes positioning a lot easier and I can predict a lot more accurately what's going to happen during the battle.

Nothing special in terms of rewards this season, still 39k DEC is pretty decent.
I'm pretty happy with the results overall but I still find myself in an odd position. My collection is strong enough to make it to Champion I each season and to compete with most players yet it's not strong enough to compete with the top of the top. Getting there would require a lot of additional cards and I'm not sure that investment would be worth it right away.
My most likely move will be to wait for the land expansion and try to get an edge with spells and items there as I should be able to mint quite some cards with my region of land. We'll see how things go. If I become annoyed again I might go another shopping spree...

Thanks for the hint with the season report card! This is interesting to see!
Congratulations on the result, it is a very good one with the 39k DEC!
The Yodin Zaku is so mighty as an summoner, sadly I don't have it and use my Selenia as the strongest summoner for that.

It's a cool tool indeed - very interesting to see all these statistics.
Really helped me to up my game ever since I've been using it.
Only by checking it today, I think I did up my game, at least from the winnings point of view, where more DEC has been cashed it for a normal day.

A good season overall by the looks. Thought much about which Death Summoner to max next?

😎🎉I'm not sure yet. Cryptmancer seems like the obvious choice but it's a pretty expensive card... ;-)
