# It's Working Again! - Splinter Stats Season 49 Report Card
After several seasons where I couldn't publish my season report it seems like it's finally working again for me. The last few times I tried to publish my report, it always got stuck at parsing the tournaments. Now last season certainly hasn't been my best but I'm happy nevertheless that I get to use this wonderful tool again. So even though it's already some days into the new season, please stick with me for my newest Splinter Stats Season Report Card!

As indicated above, last season certainly hasn't been my best. I've struggled a bit to get into the flow initially and it certainly didn't help that I had a good friend visiting for the last few days of the season. I barely managed to get into Champion II because of that but fun enough, that was still good enough to get to Champion Rank #73 for the season. It certainly feels like fewer and fewer people are making their way up to Champion I. Probably something that the devs will want to look into eventually.
Overall, I feel like my stats are decent nevertheless, a 1.32 win ratio is okayish, even if it's not among the best ratings I've had so far. I missed several of the tournaments I had signed up for, so that part of my stats is pretty bad. I really need to manage my time better on these. But since they have a lower priority than Brawls and Ranked, I sometimes just forget to make my entries in time.

Looking at my summoner usage again is pretty interesting after some seasons. My win rate with Yodin Zaku is way down while my win rate with the Scarred Llama Mage is way up, even better than what I have with Yodin. I guess that's due to people getting better at countering Yodin Zaku efficiently. At the same time, I've gotten a lot better at deciding when to go with the Llama and when not to use him. It certainly helped that I have a max level Mylor Crowling as well now, so I have a good low mana alternative for Wild if the Mage won't work.
Other than that, the number of different summoners I use did increase quite a bit with Lorna Shine and Mylor Crowling being the most prominent additions to my time. It's fun to see Camila Sungazer up there in the top 10 as well as I only use her in Brawls but it seems like I'm doing pretty good there with her...

Nothing to say here but Hail Hydra! This card has been my single most important addition in the last months. She's a beast with the Llama Mage, I've won countless battles by just submitting the Llama and her in low mana battles. I've also started to use the Serpentine Spy a lot more and while my win rate is not that good with him, I still feel like he's a great card and fit's in a lot of different decks.
Spark Pixies and Tower Griffin go in almost any Yodin Zaku build of mine as these two are just bombs in most matchups. I'm a bit surprised to see the Mantoid as far up, though, and with a 64% win rate even.

Nothing out of the ordinary here, but I'm really happy to see that 65% win rate for reverse speed as this is something I have been struggling with a lot in the past. The same goes for Little League with 63%. This has been my worst ruleset for a long time. Getting the new summoners and some key cards helped tremendously there. Fun enough, Taking Sides seems to be my worst rule set by far. I honestly don't know what went wrong there, but I'll take a loot at it this season.

Lots of missed opportunities there. The two top 16 finishes in League of Champions are pretty cool obviously, but they also serve to prove that I'm staying under my potential a lot in tournaments. I need to stay consistent and always submit my teams on time. That way I should be able to earn way more than what I'm getting right now.

In terms of earnings I'm pretty happy, 45,500 DEC certainly is on the upper end of what I can expect from a season. Considering that I missed several days or ranked play this is even better. Pegging DEC to USD seems to be working pretty well right now, so these 45,500 DEC equal 45.5$ - pretty good for two weeks of entertainment!
