# Splinter Stats Season 53 Report Card

Once again I finished the season in Gold III league and even though I did manage to push my rating a little higher, the competition just gets too tough once I move into Gold. So come along with me as I go through a look back at Season 53 and compare my accomplishments to Season 52.

I managed to get my rating up to 2030 this season which is the highest score I've reached since the change to limiting you League based on you decks Power rating. This is just a guess but now that the new rental system has been released and is such a hit, I think a lot of players will use the rentals to increase their deck Power and move to the higher Leagues. The question is, will this make it easier for me to move to a higher tier in Gold League or will more lower level players be using rentals to move up into Gold and make to competition harder on me? Only time will tell.

Valnamor was once again my most winning summoner, however he was only used in the arena half as often as Malric Inferno and Zintar Mortalis. I think I would have had a much better season if I had bee able to bench Zintar and play Valnamor more often.

While Furious Chicken and Creeping Ooze are my most used monsters since they require on one or none Mana, they only are on winning teams 50% of the time. Ruler of the Seas on the other hand had an 87.5% win rate and Mischievous Mermaid had an even more impressive 91.67% win rate. Combined with Valnamor as a summoner, they are a hard to beat team.

There are several rulesets that I don't do very well on. Holy Protection, Back to Basics and Stampede are all rulesets that I saw frequently but only had single digit win rates. Looking back to last season, they were all in my worst performing rulesets also.

For my reward cards I I once again got a Legendary and also picked up a gold foil common card as well. With card prices going crazy lately, these special cards could be worth a lot in the future. As for my Total Ranked Play Earnings, I improved this season 10 percent more than last season.

I'm very happy with my overall achievements in Season 53 and hope to improve again in this current season. I think renting a few key cards could really help me with my performance and will h\be keeping an eye out for a good addition or two.
