I beat Bubke, made it into the Top 16 with the highly enjoyable brawler and then... I played so badly in the last hour that I squandered my chance for a Top 50 spot. Welcome to Today's Big Drop!

These stats don't tell my story this season. Today at 2 PM (60 minutes before the deadline) I had 4610 points and was in rank #48. I thought I'd never stay in so I started playing... badly! So now I ended with 4428 points, and the #50 in the ranking was @tailcock with... 4609 points.

Unlucky? No, I prefer to call it what it is: a REALLY bad play. Let's see if I can do that better next time :).

28.57% with Chanseus the Great: I have not seen SUCH a low score in a long time. You'd think I'm lining him up with the Baby Unicorn as tank in every battle but no: I honestly tried to play him well.

Perhaps the Shieldbearer is becoming unfavourable in the Metagame, or am I missing something more fundamental (brainz?)?

Even more puzzling here.... I had a 61% win rate with the Shield Bearer! So where is the horror card that I end up playing with Chanseus? Is it the Lone Boatman with 40% win rate? Or the Herbalist with 45% win rate?

No.... I think it may actually be the Armor Smith further down with a 35% win rate. That is not looking good there ;).

Aside from that we have a new leader once more, with the Khmer Princess leading the fray today! The card is very powerful, as testified by its crazy inflated price on the market today (and not just when measured in LEO or CUB ;)).

In an otherwise weird and not-so-good season it's the tournaments that really stand out. I played the Brawler for the very first time and even though Silver is not my speciality, I managed to finish 10th out of 500 participants. I'm VERY pleased with that outcome! Aside from that there were no Top 10 finishes, but I'm also very happy with my 11th place finish in the League of Champions (I normally struggle there) and the Untamed Wealthy Gambit. Still no Top 3 finish yet though....

2 Legendaries and a Golden Common. Can't complain there, though my end of season rewards were meagre with 0 epics, legendaries or gold foil cards out of 120 loot boxes. Oh well, fate can't always be kind ;).

But.... the 7 UNTAMED packs really sweetened the deal actually!

Overall this was a strange season. I'm very happy with the Brawler finish but I think I need to resurrect my skills with Chanseus the Great!
