Jan. 20, 19: Zombierun and Games (Relaxing MLK Day)

One of the perks of still “being in school” is that I get some of the bonus holidays off. 😀. Being Martin Luther King Jr. Day, I got to chill ax for an extra weekend day! My planning already accounts for the shift of a day (missing a Monday), so it’s smooth sailing and no worries.

Honestly, it feels pretty good to have the whole semester’s planning done already. Means no scrambling to figure what we’re going to do. Already set. 😄

Mucked about most of the morning doing the usual doobledeedoo; some chores, YouTube videos, checking the cryptos...all that good stuff.

I did sell some more LTC over into bitcoin when the ratio spiked up to .00695. I didn’t quite catch the top, but pretty close. I haven’t gone all-in though. Trying to remain patient and not regret my trades (although, meanwhile, I could have been earning stake and curation rewards with it...kinda’ have to factor in those “losses” as well).

Then, of course, what’s a day off without wasting existence on Xbox?! Still playing Borderlands 3, running around picking up collectibles. Nearly done, though. Next it’s the new Wolfenstein!!! 😃

I eventually peeled myself off the couch and went for a Zombierun. About the last possible minute as far as daylight was concerned.

It was snowing a bit, but not windy. Just a few friendly floating flakes. 🤓😊

Pretty gray day again. At least the clouds keep the warmth in a little.

Caught the last glimpses of the Sun ☀️ going down.

Was kinda’ crazy...there’s like a layer of snow/ice, then a layer of snow, then a layer of ice, then a layer of snow on top of that. If I walked normally, my feet would break through and hit the bottom ice layer.

But when I walked flat-footed, the ice was actually strong enough to support my weight and I could walk on top of the snow! 😲

On the zombie mission, it turns out that all the ships in the flotilla were tethered together, so sinking the main ship was going to pull us down. I had to go and decouple from the other ships. Doing that went without a hitch, and then we got attacked by a Kraken!!!

It seems the serum Comansis is working on to block Diana’s mind-control causes necrosis at the injection sight, so they’ve been throwing the severed limbs (tainted with serum) overboard. This made the giant squid 🦑 super pissed off when they quit giving it munchies.

We done blowed it up too (raining calamari!) and Maxine has decided to stay with Comansis and help with their research rather than returning to Able Township...drama!

I guess I had some waterlogged zombs, ‘cause I didn’t get any warnings at all! Four for four zombies evaded and mission complete. I suppose it will be time for us to try and go back.

Another seriously fricking rough day on the ol’ Steemmonsters. Lots of losing and swearing 🤬! I really don’t understand why I’ve been getting so screwed the last couple days. Lost almost out of Gold II. 😢

My daily was Earth this time and I had a quest potion already saved up...not too bad rewards today 😀

Got my stats for the last week. All green except for floors, not bad!!! 😄👍💪
