Jan. 26, 20: AutomaticWin, Hiking, and Relaxing in Front of the Tube
We set out early, literally at the crack of dawn, for our weekly hike somewhere other than just around town. We probably would have gone even earlier, but it was still dark...not cool in the woods.
This time we parked in a different spot and took the trail in the opposite direction than we usually do. Getting out of the spot wasn’t easy, but we made it after like six tries.
Once again, an overcast day. Not very windy and only just below freezing, but some sleety wet snow coming down while we were out.
Rule number one of the forest 🌳: Don’t eat the yellow snow ❄️! 😆
The Dude got to run off the leash except for the part where the trail follows the road. He did very well once again, running a bit off the trail, but listening to what we say. 😃. I’m still not sure how he’s going to do when the weather gets warmer and there’s lots of little things scurrying about, but so far so good (except for that one time that we won’t mention).

This tree still absolutely fascinates me. It’s lived for umpteen years, gotten struck by lightning, and burned, and yet its presence still persists...a specter haunting the woods refusing to let go.
Seems the shrooms like this spot. Just about the only things around showing any sign of life.
Lots of tracks around. Deer 🦌, rabbit 🐇, some dogs 🐕...and it looks like a raccoon 🦝 sauntered by thisaway.
This part of the field is covered in this fuzzy plant. They’re a good seven feet tall or more!
Looks like this tree couldn’t decide which direction to grow and said “Screw it, all of them.”
The rest of the day we pretty much just relaxed. We binge watched the whole series of The Drunk and on Drugs Happyfuntime Hour (the guys from Trailerpark Boys). It was pretty funny, but very weird.
I got a new lifetime distance achievement! ☝️🏆
Steemmonsters was so bad today that it’s got me considering selling out again. Just loss after loss...makes it hard to earn any DEC. I finally got fed up with trying Death and got the fricking tournament quest again. 😢. At least I was able to get one win and complete the quest, but no potion charge.
The daily rewards didn’t really make up for it either. Considering how frustrated it makes me, I’m not sure “playing” is good for my health or my sanity. Ah, well, I’ve said that before. 😝

I was able to do pretty decent with the death quest on my main account. You should look into using one of the Herrons services and renting out your deck. I wouldn't sell it. That way you just sit back and rake in the DEC. Then you can spend it or exchange it however you want. I know a lot of people do it. I think the service converts all your card rewards though.
