Jan. 27, 20: AutomaticWin, Zombierun, Games, and Teaching Calculus

Heck yeah, baby! Another #DoubleDay!! 😃 My lifetime average has been slipping lately, so I need to get a few of these to get ‘er moving in the right direction again.

Out in the crisp morning air as soon as it was light enough and scored a #AutomaticWin! Got a bit of a streak going! 🙂

Yet another day of solid cloudcover. Not terribly cold, though and ZERO wind 💨, so the gloves came off pretty quick.

Did see a ray or two poking through.

Mr. Chubbles was over to the neighbor’s house for a social call. He said “Yo, homie! Spare some nuts 🥜? I’ll hit you back on the first.”

You see, Mr. Chubbles has Societal Dysmorphia and even though he lives in a rural town in BFE, he identifies as a Cryp living in south central LA. He keeps his colors hidden ‘cause he fears for his kids.

Catch him after he’s had a 40 or two, and he will regail you with stories from the hood...drivebys, roaches, roaches doing drivebys (sometimes he drinks a bit too much). Certainly a character, I can tell you that...but basically harmless. He means well, mostly. 😂

On the zombie mission today, we were supposed to meet up with a liaison from The Ministry (the newly founded “government”). We met with him and somehow he knew many details about us and what we’ve been doing that were seemingly impossible to know.

Once we returned to Able, though, we received a message from The Ministry that their representative had gotten delayed and that they were very sorry he couldn’t make it. Who then was that mysterious character and how did he know all that stuff?! Dun, dun, DUN?!?! 😱

Five out of five zombies evaded with one hellsa’ hard one where I got a twenty meter warning and had to sprint at top speed.

Another rough day at the ol’ Splinterlands. I still haven’t been able to get enough DEC for a quest potion 🧪 and I didn’t even complete the quest for the day. Been a long time since I didn’t have any new rewards cards.

I did finally break through the ceiling and got to Diamond III!!! 😃

In the evening I taught Calculus. This was the second class of arclength and surface area using “ds.” I think they did pretty well with it, although it does end up often being algebra intensive to worm your way out of integrating a function under a square root.

I also started playing the new game that’s just opened up: Holybread. My referral link is below if you wanna use it...hint, hint! So far it’s been alright, at least no swearing or rage quitting. 😄. I’ve won some duels and got my hero Dermoth Fizzlewizzle up to level two already. Plus I got a magical hat! I might end up playing that more and leasing out my SM cards, we’ll see.

Got my stats for the last week. Holy crap 💩! All red flags 🚩 😢. That’s the first time that’s happened. Gives me room for an all green this week. 💪
