Nov. 10, 19: Hiking, AutomaticWin, Grocery Shopping, and Programming

Actually went to bed early last night, and so even though we were up pretty early, I still got a full nights sleep 😴 It’s been some time since that happened!

Got the usual stuff done pretty early. My Steemmonsters quest took a bit of time, though. I just keep bouncing around in Gold II. Usually I’m in Gold I with this many days left in the season; it’s a bit frustrating. Rewards were a bit lame compared with the last couple days, but I won’t complain about that exploding archer. 😀

My mom went to Canada for the day, so we went over and picked up the little Lady. She was really excited to get out into the woods. 🌳 🌳

We were going to go out to a new place, but since we had both dogs, we went to our familiar trail closer by. We also cut the walk a bit short of a #TripleTen, but did nail another #AutomaticWin.

Was a bit colder today, temperature wise, but there wasn’t any wind 💨 so it didn’t take too long until the gloves 🧤 and then even the hat 🧢 came off.

It really is nice to have some scenery and more challenging terrain.

Not much color left to find around. Several different kinds of red berries are advertising for deer 🦌 or anybody to eat them, though.

Didn’t hear any sounds the whole time we were out, except two chipmunks 🐿 warning their friends that we were nearby. Everyone else has gone to sleep or gone south.

We did locate some Stealth Shrooms...they were hiding like thirty feet up a tree, ninja styleez! Pretty close contender for Mega Mushroom as well.

One guy was still alive and kicking, although clearly cold and a little grumpy.

We thought it was dead at first, but it was just not really in the mood to have a picture taken.

Got a shot of this lovely forest denizen. Someone planted a wheelbarrow tire in the Spring, and look how much it has grown!!! 😝

Afterward, we went into town and stocked up on groceries and supplies at the bulk store. We blew a solid paycheck in about an hour.

Came home and put the stuff away and then participated in the monthly meeting of the Executive Committee of the Libertarian Party of Michigan.

In the evening, I finally opened up the computer and got some stuff done that I’ve been putting off. I got two new cds 💿 into my music library and backed up on the network drive and then did some work on my game.

I solved the issue I’ve been struggling with (that the game pieces are shifted out of place from where I want them to be), which was excellent progress. But, since I’ve decided that I’m going to work with a tile-based system, I altered the size of the canvas and messed the positioning up all over again.

I think I might have an idea of how to fix it, but we’ll have to see. One of a thousand bugs and frustrations, I’m sure...but it will be awesome when it’s done. 😎🤓😀
