Nov. 30, 19: Walking, Splinterlands Season Ends, and Creating @updooter
Today was a day for solidly sleeping in. I guess I needed it, ‘cause I didn’t get up until after eight thirty!
Needless to say, that meant a slow start to the day. I woke up to find a lovely new set of downvotes on my post from yesterday...but more on that shortly.
Didn’t actually get out until the afternoon, but put in some good distance regardless.
Another overcast day. No wonder people get depressed in the wintertime.
I didn’t take any other pictures on my walk at all; was a thousand miles away lost in thought to be honest...feeding my unhealthy obsession with this blockchain.
Speaking of unhealthy obsessions, today was the end of the Steemmonsters season. Hooray, get to spend the next couple days with crippled cards again. Nothing too amazing rewardswise.
I opened twenty Untamed packs as well. Some of those new cards are wicked cool, and it’s awesome that they’re playable right away, but they’re basically unusable at the moment since they need leveling up. I plan to open ten a day for the next nine days...something fun in the morning.
As many of you are likely aware, I am not fond of downvote vigilantes. I’ve been hearing of one in particular attacking holders of @steembasicincome and members of groups like @upvotebuilders.
Today @upvotebuilders ceased its operations as a result (I’m going to try and convince @ketcom to keep it going). 😢😭🤬
As such, I have created @updooter.
It has one purpose: to counter downvotes, in particular, downvotes for association and not violation of community standards (plagiarism or similar justifiable downvotes).
If you would like to help defend these sorts of communities/investments on the blockchain, it’s power comes from your delegation. The purpose is not to make any Steem and curation rewards will be donated to @steem.dao when the account is no longer necessary.
@updooter already has two delegators and has negated (or nearly) at least fourteen downvotes since it’s inception a few hours ago. 😇

I think the system created a monster out of a lot of people I respected,
I don't see the difference between what is happening and bullying because one has the resources to do so. If we all had the same resources would the platform be a healthy platform or are we not all going to destroy it?
I honestly do not want to put in any energy to attack or counter anybody or group. I feel we all live by our conscience.
