Sept. 23, 20: Short Walk Again, Trading, Xbox, Teaching Calculus, and Games

Up at the asscrack of dawn again this morning. No rest for the wicked. Only twenty more minutes short, so I guess I’ll have to call that a win. 👍🤷‍♂️

Did the usual usual. What can I say, it was usual. 😝 Nah, actually, LTC took a slight bump up (a couple percent) and HIVE went down another four percent or so, so I did sell out my LTC and bought HIVE.

Used the liquid to pay Solairitas back what I owed it for the hivep I kept over there to save on the deposit/withdrawal fees, shifted over some HIVE to HE and got enough BEE to make a token (not telling!!!), and then had 100 left to power up. 😃

I used some of what I had on HE to grab some more BRO tokens for Solairitas and now have to decide what I want to do with the twenty or so left...🤔

I’ve been seriously upset about these new shoes, but like I said yesterday, I either have to break them in somehow or waste $65. 😡 I should have put a bandaid on or something, because it wasn’t any better and I had to cut the walk short again; really don’t know what I’m going to do. 😭

Still, getting out for at least a short walk meant that I was home free on my ten thousand steps when it came to bedtime. 😀

Not too bad out by the time I got going. Definitely a lot warmer and sunnier than it has been! ☀️

I got my sky shot for the day, but seeing as how I only just went around the block, there wasn’t much else to shoot.

I did take the doggy, though...normally don’t when I go by myself, so I think he was glad to get some sniffing and peeing in. 😁

Spent most of the rest of the afternoon playing The Division on Xbox. I’m still doing a lot of running and dying and running back...I guess that’s just part of the mechanics. I did pop another low level achievement, another 5 gamerscore, so that was cool. At least the collectibles appear on the map! Getting to them is the challenge rather than not knowing where they are.

As is the new habit lately, I chatted over in The Man Cave on Discord for a while and then it was time to get ready for teaching some Calculus.

Quite a few people showed up and we had some good questions. Mostly looking at limits of functions at this point, particularly the epsilon-delta proofs (which are, admittedly, difficult to grasp), but I did do one example of finding the derivative by definition, which pushed us forward a little in the subject matter.

Ended up going for a good hour and a half, had a solid sweat going actually! 😓🤭 Once we got done, though, it was nice cause I’d already played Splinterlands and done all that, so I was free to lay down right away.

I did end up watching most of a Movie: The International, a banking crime drama deal, but only one eye open...made it more than halfway through, but it wasn’t compelling enough to keep me awake the whole way.

Another day of smooth sailing in my dCity. 😃 Knock on wood, been doing alright with the crime the last few days. 🤑 Certainly helps.

Man, the arena is getting really frustrating lately. 😡 Once again I wasn’t able to get all my Holybread tasks done. Renewed my potions and repaired my items and had enough to get damage and life upgrades for all three heros. Back to saving up again.

Despite my arena struggles, I’m still keeping at the top of the leaderboard. 🏆🥳

Still saving up CryptoBrewmaster ingredients, so no brew or sale today. Should have one to go for tomorrow, though.

Without regard to even a single fiber of my being, I played my Splinterlands quest today. I got Life splinter for the second day in a row. At least today wasn’t AS bad; made a tiny bit of progress.

I completed the quest forever stuck in Diamond II. I’ve still had DEC for quest potions, but bleeding out badly at this point. Only two days worth left.

If I was playing because it was fun, rewards wouldn’t matter, but I’m playing for the rewards, so like $.07 really doesn’t fill the bill:
