Sept. 3, 20: Chores, Gardening, Xbox, and Games

Up at six again today and yet another hour short...I suppose it shouldn’t be too surprising that I’m not feeling the get up and go to get out for a proper walk the past few days.

Did the usual morning routine and found the crypto markets continuing in free fall. Here I am just hanging on all the way down...my PRECIOUS!

Did some chores, got the garbage together and some odds and ends.

I had another BLURT powerdown come through and then remembered that I had set some alts to powerdown as well, so had a bit to sell over on Ionomy. I didn’t end up with a whole lot, but I didn’t take the market prices at the time, set them higher and waited for them to come through.

Now I have to decide what to do with the liquid HIVE...it’s a good dilemma to have, I suppose. I want to get an ARCHON miner for The Solairitas Project, but the ROI is really long haul...like over three years by my best estimate.

On the other hand I could roll the Dice and see if I get any more good cards (but that’s selfish and then the money is spent, not really invested)...decisions, decisions.

Speaking of Solairitas, I got the Weekly News Update done and shared to Twitter. Sold 20 more SOL yesterday, but the morning PostUp show was canceled again, so no more sales from advertising.

AND, speaking of decisions, I was thinking of heading out for at least a little walk around the block, but decided instead to get some stuff done in the garden.

Luckily enough Fitbit recognized it as “sport.” 😂 It was some serious work, no joke. I finished weeding out the rest of the garden area and then went after the burn “pit.”

Over time the dirt from weeds and soot and stuff all builds up in there to to point that it’s no longer a pit, but a pile. It was mounded up a couple of feet higher than the edge of the pit, so it was past time to get it cleaned out.

I usually take what’s in there and put it back on the garden to replenish the carbon in the soil that the weeds have drawn out, but I don’t know, there was something in my gut telling me not to this time.

I feel like I’ve burned some stuff in that pile, like some particleboard from the upstairs and some insulation stuff I tried to burn and coatings on cardboard boxes...just felt like there might be something in there that’s not so good to eat.

Anyway, I dumped it out at the back of the yard instead. Hopefully that was a good decision. I guess I’ll probably never know since I don’t have an alternate universe to compare it to.

Was absolutely amazing weather outside! Busted the shirt off to get some sun and even then got a solid sweat 😓 on. 👍

Not a cloud to be seen. 😃 Blue skies and beautiful! There was a bit of a breeze, but not much to note.

Little jumping spider 🕷 was threatening to jump on me when I went to open the door. I imagine it was more scared of me.

Tomatoes 🍅 are really coming along! Look how massive this one is, and it hasn’t even started to ripen yet!

We’ve got the big kind and then little cherry tomatoes as well.

This is my only remaining, sad little pea plant. 😢 Damn deer! 🦌 I see a bit of new green tendrils, so there might be some hope it will come back.

The peppers are coming along nicely as well! I’ve never grown peppers before, it’s really neato to watch them develop. 😍

Another, fat, juicy one. I am a little worried that they’re all going to be ready at the same time and we’ll have pepper overload, but it should save us a few bucks at the grocery store, and I know it has no fertilizers or pesticides used on them! 🤩

Afterward I snagged a shower and played some Xbox. I got another free game Battlemech Arena or something like that and I was getting bored already with Portal Knights, so I tried it out.

Made some progress and popped a couple ofnthe beginning cheevos, but it really wasn’t all that fun either...just running around trying to beat up monsters that are hard to hit because of collision detection.

Wenche made eggs and bacon for dinner and we watched a pretty good movie. Made it through that one, but then fell asleep watching whatever it was she put on afterwards.

Another day of smooth sailing in my dCity today. Still trying to decide what to do next over here... I hear the Forest calling me.

I got all my Holybread tasks done for the day. 😁 The arena is getting tough again, but getting it done.

Dropped a bit in the ranks, but top twenty glory is still all mine. 💪

I got all the ingredients I needed to get a brew done in CryptoBrewmaster. I sold it for just under 30 CBM and bumped up on the leaderboard a little bit.

My Splinterlands quest was Dragon splinter. I have no idea why it posed as much of a problem as it did. Lost four of the first five I tried and then started with the win one, lose one garbage.

I suppose I could have ended it earlier, but I wanted to get back up into Champion first. I ended up playing quite a while and didn’t even get all the battles in the log.
