Sept. 9, 20: AutomaticWin, TripleTen, DoubleDay, Xbox, Teaching, and Games

We’ll holy crap! Tonight was a seriously rough one! My back was hurting still, so I took some painkillers before bed to try and sleep. Unfortunately, they made my tummy go nuts and I was up and in the bathroom by 4:30 and only five and a half hours of sleep. It’s adding up big time at this point!

Did all my usual morning stuff way earlier than usual. Still waiting on powerdowns, so didn’t do any trading. HIVE being low is still bugging me, though...coins on sale.

One advantage to being up so early, I suppose, was that I had looooots of time to head out for a walk. I had the #AutomaticWin in the bag without a question, but at five kilometers I decided to go for the proper, on the map, #TripleTen! I did quite a bit of jogging and kept the pace down to nearly eight minutes per kilometer. 👍🏆

Not exactly a warm start to the day. Was very overcast and the wind was blowing cold, moist air. I had a jacket and stuff on, but with running had a good sweat on.

Pretty gray out there. Has been the last few days! Hopefully it’s not to late for all the fields of corn that looked brown too early!!

Was really focused on keeping my pace up and getting the distance in, so I didn’t snag any other shots of anything...mostly just fall-ish grayness everywhere anyway.

Jibber jabbered over on Discord for a bit and then played some ze Blob 2 on the Xbox. I actually found a way to die, I fell off the map! 🤣 Got another level completed and popped another cheevo. 🏆

I met with my Calculus students on video for our first QA session. They seemed a little hesitant to ask questions at first, but we ended up covering quite a bit of ground! We even did a couple derivatives, by definition!!!! 😮🤓

I know that it was a lot, we looked at everything from functions, to limits, to derivatives, so I don’t expect that a lot of it sunk in, but that’s alright anyway cause we’ll see it all again...foreshadowing completed. 😁

Spent a couple of hours doing that which put me over the #DoubleDay! Woot! Been a long time since I got either a #DoubleDay or a #TripleTen, but drilled both today. 😄

It was already past my bedtime when I shut the computer down, but I still had my Splinterlands quest to play. I didn’t really want to, but I wanted to have to do it in the morning even less, so I played anyway.

Once I got that done I laid down and watched a little bit of The Order before falling asleep.

No crime in my dCity today! 🥳 Got my income for the day, but have a long way to go before I can afford any token generating cards...hearing the call of another Forest, maybe.

Got my Holybread tasks done again today. Had a bit of a glitch with the vote bot not liking that I edited my posts. Not sure if the issue has been fixed or not, but they hit me up manually, so that was cool!

Pretty much stuck up against the same set of guys, so haven’t made much progress in the ranks. Still too twenty, though! 💪

Still accumulating CryptoBrewmaster ingredients, so no brew today. Only got a couple left, and I got some good water on sale, so I should be able to get one going tomorrow.

I got Life splinter for my Splinterlands quest today. I considered switching it again, but remembered I underestimate my Life deck, so I went with it. Started off rough again, with another hard losing streak, but ended on a win streak that made most of it back.

Got the quest done in Champion III with a potion. Only four days or so left in the season, so I’m losing hope for Champion II let alone Champion I! 😢 Been getting really low on DEC, so was glad that I got some pretty good rewards today. Got enough DEC for tomorrow’s quest potion and a few good cards:
