Jupiler Pro League: round 15: 2 asses are on the line!

Like the title says, 2 coaches are under immense pressure. For both of them it could be the last game of the season for their current clubs!

Mazzu

Let's start with KRC Genk, the defending champion. Well we all knew that it would be a different season than last one but nobody did expect that we would be so changeable. Believe it or not but we only did win once back to back this season! For the rest it was more or less pure misery! The coach is now trying out his third playing style. Started the season with a 4-5-1, switching it to 4-4-2 and now he is trying out a 5-3-2, which probably will by a 3-5-2 in possession! Twice he did change the tactic before the Liverpool game and twice the play did work against Liverpool!
On Sunday Genk will face Gent, who finally did win away from home. And it was an impressive win at Wolfsburg! So, it will be difficult. Maybe a draw can save his job, but I doubt it!
The playing style will be much more important! The players should start aggressively!
As you can see in the table, a gap is starting to get created with the top 6. And the board didn't expect to win another title but they do expect a place in PO I and European football next year!

Boloni

Another coach which job is in danger! Just like Genk Antwerp is not really consistent. They did start the season superb and while missing out on the group phase of the Europa League, the team did invest. So like always big investment does come with big expectations!
In the beginning of the season these expectations were met! But they have won only 1 game in the last 5. And on Sunday leader Club Brugge will be the opponent!
Club Brugge had some dressing room troubles this week and as a result a Diagne has been suspended for an undetermined period by the coach! This because he did think that his own career was more important that Club Brugge! A big NO NO!
He even would be in trouble if he made the penalty. But he missed miserably!

Other interesting games

This evening we do have Zulte against Anderlecht. Can Anderlecht crawl closer and closer to the top 6? Or will Zulte keep the 3 points home and put Anderlecht on a hold?
Can Cercle Brugge finally win and will they stop the unbeaten streak of 4 games of Eupen? It is now or never for Cercle. Another loss isn't affordable!
And who will break their loosing streak. Kortrijk or Waasland-Beveren? Kortrijk has now lost 3 times in a row, but the streak of Waasland is even 1 game longer!
But this is all top by Oostende, who is now still riding the losing streak. Their last win goes back to round 2 of this season! What about that!

Cheers,
Peter

I'm tempted to go with Cercle as they clearly started playing a lot better lately with their new coach but I'm not sure that I'll have the balls :)

Good luck this weekend Peter
