First Wave of Real Mass @steemmonsters Extinction Imminent

When the reward cards were first issued months ago many of us kind of laughed at the production numbers. You are going to make 400,000 Rusty Tromb--- , uhh I mean Rusty Androids? At the time there was not any card burning set up so I mocked this exponential production number along with others in a post in the way back machine

Ah yes, it did burn burn when I 'peed' away my Rusty Androids seven months ago to @null. We had heard mention of DEC but it had not come out yet and that even further underlies the impact that it did have psychologically and in literal value of the cards.

But back to how I was wrong at this time (I have been saying that a lot in posts lately about steemmonsters) mocking the obscene print numbers of this card and the other new cards that were announced for common, rare, epic, and legendary reward cards. Saying out loud that "These numbers will not be reached in the next few years at least." Games played were way down at the time. You could say those were the very worst "dog days" of the crypto depression and that of the monsters depression in 2018. My how times have changed.

Within the next few months as I have seen some projections some of the very first Reward Edition @splinterlands cards are going to be printed to their max production, then halted forever. We have not really seen this phenomena happen yet (assuming beta packs don't sell out in the next week or so) in the monsters crowd. We had a few kickstarter cards that are no longer produced, yeah, I give you that... but we haven't had a set of cards that had been in production for a long time that have suddenly been halted like this.

Alphas were halted but they had all the same cards in the beta version so there was no illogical card chasing until later on as they began to be consolidated into higher leveled cards, similar to what they are now. But even still the "playibility factor" was not lost again having the same cards in the beta version with hundreds of thousands of packs left at the time, in the middle of a crippling depression for all of crypto at that time-mind you.

But now cards such as the Rusty Android, Lord Aranthius, the Archer, Sea Genie, Mushroom Seer, Flame Imp are now reaching their zenith as production of them could stop very likely in the next month to two months. When they are gone they are gone. For a while now in full disclosure I have been buying the Brilliant Quest Potion, and even using legendary and alchemy potions on reward cards. Yes I said that right, spending extra DEC, on the cards we all blew out hamstrings rushing to burn, for DEC, what a vicious cycle.

Happy battling, happy collecting, have a great week fellow monster heads!

Bahahaha.... They should've made you a 4 manna little buddy, so you could be a rockstar on little league-the only card that would reflect magic and maybe the best tank in that rule set depending on the further nerf.

Another thing with reward cards that I think will make them more valuable is that they can't be "bought" like Alpha and Beta cards that they have to be earned. I think there will eventually be a premium from that aspect as well.

Granted you can go buy them from someone that spent time earning them, but you can't just buy packs in bulk and buy them.

I have a fondness for the Rusty's :-) of course I am still relatively new to this wonderful game and have yet to know the major players from the major commons.
