How I Bet 75,000 DEC, Lost and Don't Really Care

The first land sale of The Splinterlands is now "in the books" and is now in the history books, or lore in the ledgers.

Of course the massive discount in DEC pegged price of 750,000 for a tract of my own was intriguing in an initial continent (or Alpha land) sale was too good to pass on.

Unfortunately I didn't have that DEC on hand, but had some cards selling, so I thought I would talk with my friendly leg-breaker (I mean banker), just kidding of course my trusted lender Bank of Neoxian.

I gladly paid a 10% fee thinking it would be highly worth it to get lucky and get in on the cheapest these land plots/tracts/regions may ever be for sale any time soon (or ever for that matter). I spoiled the result of what happened in the title not getting lucky enough, but landed in a guaranteed pool with my friends in the Team Possible Champion Guild, so that is a winner in my book.

This may be an option for others as the discounted land sale of course for some it works out well, others not as well. Anyways I missed on the first but overall was very impressed with the Splinterlands team coming up with a lottery idea and congratulate those that were lucky enough to win in the first offering. Best of luck Splinterlands community and keep your eyes open for new alerts from the actual team they seem to have a lot in the hopper right now.
