Is it possible to add an additional password protection for selling Steemmonster cards in case of account hacking?

In case someone, somehow would be able to steal the private password to your account they could easily transfer your vaulable cards to their own account.

Could we add an option where you can add an additional password when sending cards or listing cards for sale. The decision would be left up to the user if he wants the extra layer of security or not. He can enable/disable it at any time. This way you could even further protect (besides using keychain) your investment which in some cases amounts to a couple of thousands of dollars.

I have no idea if this is technically possible so I'm asking @aggroed and @yabapmatt. Can it be done?

Great idea!

Any additional layer of security to protect your assets is a good thing. A couple months ago I had an account hacked and the thief straight up logged into PeakMonsters and started selling my cards! Having an additional layer would have alerted me to this and prevented the sale from happening..

I think I read about your case or maybe it was someone else but yeah that's exactly what I'm thinking of.

How did he manage to hack your account? Any idea?

I'll never know... All I can say is the only place I ever sent my keys for that account was through SteemConnect. That and it happened within a week of using the MoonDice, again through SteemConnect. Using Dapps with SteemConnect is not as safe as most people think.. steemkeychain is awesome through, keeping your keys client side is the way to go!
