The quest for Diamond III! Misson accomplished!
Well I already had written a different post about my quest for Diamond III. When I did start writing the post I was safely in Gold I and did want to write that I didn't want to make the same mistakes again as last season!
Last season I did reach Diamond III but it came with a cost! I only reached it in the dying minutes of the season and did end on exactly 2800 rating points! But this quest and chase did leave me behind with a crippled Energy Capture Rate!
Okay I did got 10 extra reward cards but it appears that in the beginning of the season one is rewarded with a higher amount of DEC. So with an ECR of below 30% I missed out on these goodies!
And I did made the decision that if I had to choice between Diamond III with a crippled ECR or Gold I with a healthy ECR, I would choice option number 2!
But I suddenly got into a winning streak! 8 wins in a row did push me from 2616 to 2804 rating points! In the last battle I was saved by the stun feature of Medusa!
The more I play to more I try to see what the opponent normally plays! Medusa for instance does bring a lot to the game when the opponent plays with Lord Arianthus as tank! In that case it is better to use arrows or so!
So I can already call my season a success. But they next 3 daily quests will be tough! I will for sure not try to reach Diamond II. I do consider this unfeasable and this would make the beginning of next season to hard!
In the beginning I had doubts about the double rulesets for the game, but the more I do play them, the more I do like them! This gives much more room for strategy! But also has some funny situations! I am waiting on the combined ruleset of: "leave the melee monsters" at home and "only melee monsters may be used in the battle"! :)
I am a happy camper at the moment!

Congrats! I got diamond 1last night, which was unexpected. We will see how the start of next season goes!

For me too. I was prepared for the scenario to come close but just not being able to knock open the door! I didn't want to sacrifice my ECR this time.

Congrats! The double rulesets have given some opportunity for sure! I am competing for Top 50 once again which has me excited!
Top 50 is only a dream for me. Top 350 is my max with my current collection!
