Splinterlands - Vs Disney's Kingdom App (Weekly Social Post)
The Disney's Kingdom App was introduced in 2016 and has been updated ever since. Last week on 5/1/2020 accidentally clicking through an ad on a separate game my child and I began playing this game and since then we have played it daily. The game is pretty addictive although also a time consuming game as many of the activities requires a specific amount of time to complete. The only way to cut the time spent to compete tasks and activities is to pay in the game's virtual currency call GEMs. GEMS can be bought via fiat or earned daily through specific activities such as leveling up character, watching Ad videos, and completing per requisites activities to progress in the game.
The game surrounds itself with building a theme park and earning rewards to collect popular Disney characters. The most common use of in game currencies are GEMs, Magic, and Elixir. The collection of characters are vast and so are theme park attractions, concession stands, and parade floats.
Similar in Splinterlands is certain items in Kingdom are worth more than others. There are commons, rares, epics, and legends. These items are tokens that are needed to obtain and level up Disney characters. Not all characters are created equal. Some are much more difficult to earn or only can be obtain via purchase with GEMs and fiat. This is very similar to Splinterlands with the type of cards, common, rare, epic, and legends.
In Splinterlands there are also gold foils cards that are very limited in earning. Similar in Kingdom a certain amount of costumes for characters are offered for a limited time. However Kingdom does not have a free market to sell earn items or characters in the game while in Splinterlands players have that choice.
The obvious is Kingdom is a strategy simulation game while Splinterlands is a trading card game. However Splinterlands is so to come out with its own expansion game where it will likely be themed very similar to that of Magic. The ability to build a area filled with resources and earn skills to better compliment cards played in matches. If I must hope for the best is that what I see in Magic be somehow integrated into Splinterlands. This would mean basically two great games in one.

I think mostly this is my fault. I wanted people to compare Splinterlands to other games... focusing ON SPLINTERLANDS... not on the other games. I thought this was obvious. But clearly it wasn't.
This post does NOT look like a Splinterlands post. It's confusing. Again, my fault. Others are doing it as well.
So... no more of these types of posts as I find it's not helping us spread the word about Splinterlands... but it IS helping spread the word about the other games. #notthegoal
