Time to join another Splinterlands Share your Battle challenge. The suggested theme for this week is a card we all used A LOT (and most still probably do!) in alpha/beta:

The Feral Spirit!

This card is extremely useful, especially in low mana caps. I only have it al level 4, but even at such low level its already a good option in most rulesets.

At level 1 it already has 4 speed, that rises to 5 right on the next level! Speed is the biggest asset of this card: 6 speed from level 5 onwards; in levels 8 and 9 it reaches 7 speed, and loses 1 speed point in the last level, as a trade for an extra melee point.

His only ability? Sneak.

But fortunately there are more sneakers in life splinter, and good ones! My favourite strategy when I use this card? Full sneak mode, together with silvershield assassin! Feral spirit is one of the first cards in the game to attack, taking a couple of hit points/removing armour to the last monster, and the assassin follows!

In the battle I´ve chosen, every melee monster had the sneak attack, thow:

Rules:

  • Super sneak: All melee attack monsters have the sneak ability
  • Lost legendaries: no legendary monsters can be used.

My opponent had a pretty good strategy: a healing card in the back, and goblin sorcerer attacking my back with magic, which was an excellent choice because I used enchanted defender in the back. Good thing about enchanted defender is that it has thorns, I was hoping to kill some of the sneakers with it. The bad part? Only 1 health point, so an easy kill right on the first round.

I chose the palladin as a tank, one of my favourite choices when legendaries are out of the game. Armorsmith would keep providing armour, followed by the healer, and then my two favourite sneakers ant the thorny back monster.

My main advantage in this battle? Speed! Earth splinter is generally slow, and that turned the odds in my favour.

The earth elemental didn't had a chance to heal, since it was dead before its turn, and on the second round the cocactrice couldn't escape the feral spirit. From there, with slower speed and low health in most of the monsters...

The fast sneak attacks of life splinter won the game. With the opponent's healer dead at round 3, the rest of the battle was quick.

I should definitely consider upgrading the feral spirit; but since it's a common card, it's expensive to do so, and I dont use life Splinter that much. Nevertheless, when I do... more often that not, he is in the lineup.

See you on the battlefield! 😉

Its always great when you can knock out your opponents healer early on, then you can attack away!
