I wouldn’t bank on it, but I think it’s a good investment. Do you lease out your cards? I do.
I also use the affiliate link where possible.

What you could do is make 3Speak or DTube videos about it. There are Splinterlands competitions where they offer large prizes sometimes. If you are good, enter tournaments too.
I’ve been trading on Steem-Engine and you can always sell DEC for Steem if necessary.

Thanks for all these useful tips @shaidon ! But I am seeing that DECs are losing its value, so at this point of time I am trading off some of my other Tokens (that are not staked) into DEC so that I can upgrade the cards with those and reserve my earned steem aside.

I am actually planning to lease out the higher levelled ones for an affordable price... so that beginners can at least have a feel how they are used. I think especially reward cards because starter packs do not have them.
