The idea is pretty good to implement it to the game, the problem is that the figures "the current number of players" are not real, most of them are bots or multi-accounts (like in my case)
to improve the game's ecosystem there must be fairly drastic changes.

Thanks for the comment. I'm aware there are a lot fewer 'real' players, but the latter number is unknown and not very relevant, as long as there are 'enough' of them. 6000 is an estimated number of accounts playing quite regularly.
