The One Piece anime celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, and since Toei Animation they have set in motion a variety of products and renovations that seek to celebrate the brand and achieve, at the same time, that it continues to grow, both in terms of quality and of commercial success. For this, we have seen the Japanese premiere of One Piece: Stampede, the remarkable Wano arc and, in the same way, One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4, a title that will be on sale during 2020 for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PC.

As in the previous installments, One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 will have a clear objective: to allow millions of followers around the world to execute the wildest anime combos and, in this process, tear down Hundreds of enemies at the same time, just like Luffy and the rest of the straw hat pirates do on a regular basis in the series itself.

The demo that was presented to me showed one of the novelties of the delivery: Whole Cake Island and, specifically, the forest in which Luffy first disembarks as the objective of the mission to recover Sanji, which has abandoned his companions to face the marriage commitment imposed by his hitherto unknown family ties with the Vinsmoke. The content of the gameplay, however, shows us an unknown take of that place, or it may be that during the abandonment of the island -well we are not able to specify-, because what we found was Luffy fighting against hundreds of soldiers and Trees and a special guest.

At a certain point, Luffy makes use of fourth gear, specifically in the ‘Bounce Man’ form, which alters not only his basic attacks, but also his abilities. It should be noted that despite the fact that in the demo we have unlimited use of this form of power, in the base game, as in the anime, Luffy will be restricted to some time in its use, returning us subsequently to its standard state. This decision is an understandable not only because of being faithful to anime, but because as you can see, the level of power of our protagonist makes such a leap that Big Mom's shields end up disappearing at high speed.
