A piano that can detect light variations
I do not play the piano and really not a fan of any musical instrument. However I could not just overlook the awesomeness and uniqueness of this fotovoltaic-based piano that works on light variation detection. This is far from what I use to know as what piano is.
Unlike a synthesiser, for example, which emits sound whenever a key is pressed, the Pian’OPV incorporates ASCA® organic photovoltaic modules in each key. Passing your hand over one of the keys will cause a voltage drop in the OPV module. An electrical signal is then relayed to the membrane of a buzzer to generate a sound at a predefined frequency.source
