When @silverd510 comes up with ideas theyre usually pretty good, but when it comes to #tags, and more specifically tag posts, he's a genius. His latest post idea for the #steemsilvergold group is a "TWELVE DAYS OF CHRISTMAS" theme and involves picking 12 Precious Metal items you'd love to receive.

Take a look at his twelve days of Christmas and see for yourself.

Here are the rules he made up for this little posting sequence:

  • Start off with the lowest dollar items, building up to the one thing that would truly blow you away if you got it as a gift.

  • The items have to be realistic!! No one is going to gift you an 1895CC Morgan silver dollar. Unless you are related to Bill Gates or any other billionaire.

  • The top item can not exceed a value of $2000

For my final day; Day 12 - 2020, 4 coin, "proof" sovereign set:

Value - $2000 +

  • Four editions of The Sovereign featuring the special George III mint mark in one exclusive set
  • The first modern Double Sovereign was struck in 1820. 2020 celebrates 200 years of this iconic coin
  • A limited edition presentation of just 600 sets
  • Featuring Pistrucci’s classic St George and the dragon design
  • Digitally remastered from the original Pistrucci tooling to ensure an accurate interpretation of the design, which is over 200-years old

The sovereign is the official gold coin of the United Kingdom. It still carries legal tender status, with a nominal value of one pound sterling(£1). Struck from 1817 until the present time, it was originally a circulating coin accepted in Britain and elsewhere in the world; it is now a bullion coin and is sometimes mounted in jewellery. The coin was named after the English gold sovereign, that was last minted in 1603, and originated as part of the Great Recoinage of 1816.

From the early 1850s until 1932, the sovereign was also struck at colonial mints. Initially in Australia, and then later in Canada, South Africa and India. The Sovereign has once again been struck in India since 2013. The Australian sovereign initially carried its unique local design, but by 1887, all new sovereigns bore the George and the Dragon design. Striking in Australia were so large that by 1900, about 40% of all the sovereigns in Britain had been minted in Australia. **FOOT NOTE.... Australia has a shit-load of gold!!

It's £1600. But because the rate fluctuations it can either be $2080 (£1:$1.3) OR $1936 (£1:$1.21).... Brexit has caused the £:$ ratio to be all over the place last few weeks.

Oh my goodness!!! That set of Sovereigns: AWESOME!!!. On my other list (of World Coins list )is the Queen Victoria 3 coin set, which has been on my list for years now. I have read much about Queen Victoria's reign, and admire her very much.

Oh my... I didn't know that you too like the Silver Saver set of bars, like several who have inquired about my bars. I will see what I can do. You are absolutely right... many covet the bars because they are priceless [you cannot buy them, except one that I gifted to AuRebel who passed away this year, and his wife brought all his silver to the LCS. It was the first bar sold... bought by another stacker from the community], and because the bars were produced in limited quantities. Only a number are in existence and they are hand-pours made be a select the wonderful pourers from the stacking community.
Sorry for this long comment, dude!
Have a wonderful day, see you later, TAKE CARE 🥰🌺🤙 !tip
