This is new...
This guy turned up in my daily rewards yesterday... Another interesting card to switch things up a little by not really confirming to the strength of the splinter that it is associated with. In this case, it is a magic damage dealing monster that is attached to the melee centric Fire splinter.
At the moment, at level 1, the Beetle Queen is pretty poor for 4 mana. Expensive in comparison to the damage and survivability that it offers. As it levels it gains a splash ability, which does make it v marginally more useful... However it still does have a slightly high man's cost, especially in comparison to some of the other selections on the Fire splinter.
Perhaps it could see some utility in a little league, no melee match up... On the other hand, if that particular game rule combination came up, you really should not be playing the Fire Splinter! That said, I'm sure everyone plays a crap unsuited splinter just to try and finish the daily quest!
So, for the moment... A hold and see... I'm not going to spend any treasure trying to level this Beetle... But I like having it in my hand anyway (ha ha... Yes I know, it isn't rational!). I'm still holding out and hoping for a Furious Chicken to pop up one of these days!
Steem-Monsters (aka the best blockchain game out there!)

But it is great to have another Magic moster in the Fire deck. Not so many of those!
Cheers,
Peter
It is... but I never really play the magic monsters in the Fire deck... well, that's not quite true... only the speed ones!
It has tank heal when leveled!
Face-palm for me.... That makes it much more useful!
