Nice rewards and the Steemmonster Kickstarter

This has been the best daily rewards since I started playing regular again.

The golden chicken is a card I wanted to have since I realised how good the chicken is and how often I use it.

The level does not really matter as its only purpose is to take a hit or two and die. The golden version will bring in a nice 10% bonus for the DEC in the rare cases I win a match and over the long run will end up raking in a bunch more DEC.

And we all know more DEC means more potions and cards which is pretty nice.

Once again I am seemingly stuck in diamond 1 but I only played enough matches to get my daily quests done as my capture rate was still pretty low from last season, in which I played a lot the last days to get the last points for champion 1 which did not work out in the end :-(

I joined a guild which also ends up in more DEC and overall I am pretty stoked about the game at the moment and looking forward for the new untamed cards.

I participated in the Kickstarter with a 1k pledge. If I would tell that anyone outside of Steemit people would call me crazy but everyone who is involved with the Steemmonsters knows it is an investment as well as the cards end up producing rewards and DEC which can be sold if you so choose and the asset itself (card) did pretty well.

The rewards just keep pilling up from the kickstarter campaign which is nice and despite I will receive not only digital goodies it is what I am mostly intersted in.

I am a bit torn about the "airdrop" mechanic of the new set though as the packs "loose" value every 100k sold units but we shall see first how the market react to the airdropped monsters and the new set in general.

My "back to the start" account in now on day 3 I think and it is quite frustrating and kind of boring to play with it I have to say. I got an ooze yesterday as reward and hope a neutral card will help out a bit.

You have to be careful not to be pulled into this game too much. Going from 5 to 6 (Summoners) for example is pricey as hell and if your stuck in the silver league, you cant use the 2nd tier abilities.

On top of that, with the beta's now OOP, its getting expensive to level them up even the commons.

Good luck on the new set, it will either be too powerful thus we get power creep or too weak, resulting in bad sales or best of all somewhere in the middle.

I'm keeping to the beta's for now and will see what the new set is like before committing.

I am pulled in too much since alpha :-)

You dont think they can find a balance with beta?

I'm heavily invested into the game as you are so I'm trusting them to find that happy medium. I have seen bad things happen to Magic the Gathering years ago when expansions were too weak.

They ended up burning masses of printed cards then as they couldn't give em away!

I am not really into magic but I bought some sealed booster displays purely to flip.

I recently started playing a bit of arena and like it quite a bit.

But wizards is not shy to ban cards.
I have read that some sets were really bad in both way so too strong and too weak.

The game is steeped in history. I picked it up in May 1994, very early and saw all the big cards and owned them too.

Fallen Empires was the first expansion they made a big mistake on and the one I refer too.

Yes, they ban them and then unban them years later. It seems to be losing popularity which is bad for me as I'm trying to unload what I have.

Didn`t reservelist cards have quite a spike recently in price?

I am not active in the market more through aplhainvestments on youtube

The spike was some time ago and I have a large box full of them. Even crappy cards went up just because they were on the Reserved list.

How well they will sell I don't know. Many are comparatively weak compared to newer cards that have power creep.

AlphaInvestments and Rudy! He's is funny and quite the entertainer.. I do watch his channel..

I started playing when Ice Age was released. I sold my cards at some point and I see single cards and I can remember "I had this one" but I am not sure which edition. I am sure my collection would be worth a lot more than for what I sold it but...fml

Ah... I remember Ice Age, I was living in the US when that expansion was released. it was hot property at the time but lost almost all of it's value until recently.

There's plenty of reserved list material in there and changes to Cumulative Upkeep several years ago created an interest in the set again.

Cumulative was hated at the time! Due to it's age it's slowly gaining interest again. The Jester's cards were very desirable then.
