Short on mana with reverse speed... Life to the rescue

avatar

Every week SteemMonsters hosts a weekly battle challenge where you are invited to share one of your battles and talk about it. This weeks challenge is the Life Splinter. You can read more about the challenge here.

Today I was battling through my daily quest and came across a 12 mana rule set with reverse speed. I decided I should play the life splinter.

I always look to my Clay Golem and the life deck as a first option when I have a reverse speed. Today was no different. I decided to utilize my Divine Healer in order to heal my Clay Golem. My daily quest was no neutrals or else I would have added the chicken at the rear to possibly take some damage.

As luck would have it my opponent decided to use 2 different cards with magic attacks and my Clay Golems void muted the Divine Healers attack and lessened the Defender of Truths magic attack.

This strategy worked very well for me and I will be using it again.

I really like the Life splinter and play it frequently because of the ability to heal both health and mana.

One of my favorite cards for the Life Splinter is the Armorsmith for it's armor regeneration.

Now the Untamed is here I am growing fond of the Cave Slug.

The opportunity is an awesome ability to be added to the Life splinter.

I would highly suggest getting some Untamed booster packs for the new abilities that are available. The Life splinter is more robust now because of the extra card options.

Ugh! I hate the 12 mana cap! I'm all, "why even play?!" throws tantrum (luckily with a little extra time to build teams I can cry and still actually get submitted before the buzzer 😉).

Also... I like the cave slug too. Fun fact: he was a pain in the butt on the design side. People were very confused at a slug being in the Life Splinter. But, IRL things are all mixed about. Made sense to us that there'd be creepy crawlies in caves.

Thanks for playing and sharing!
