The Gremlin Blaster Isn't here to take part, It's here to take over!

If You're not playing the Gremlin It's likely you're getting beat by it.

I, For One, Welcome Our New Gremlin Overlords

***Edit: Looks like Our New Overlord Is Getting Nerfed: https://steemit.com/splinterlands/@splinterlands/2nd-airdrop-card-update-and-new-rulesets

The New Stats Will Soon Be

The card was obviously overpowered but I'm not sure if removing its redemption ability completely is the right move. I think changing redemption to -1 on all monsters instead of -2 and moving the ability to be attained at level 3 would be the right move for the Gremlin Blaster.

I hated to play against this card, as I am always playing Stubborn Mercenaries and I couldn't play it myself...
Now that it is nerfed, it became a card that nobody will play. From Hero to Zero.

I agree, they went over board with the nerf.

The card was selling at $1.60 at one point (that's just as much as some legendary cards)

I think the original stats on the Gremlin Blaster were ridiculous. Frankly, I'm surprised it made it past any sort of testing phase. A reward card that gets that ability at level 1?! That's insanity. I definitely agree that it needed to be nerfed, but I don't see why that ability would've been outrageous at one of the last two levels of the card, or even maybe just at max level. Then it would only really be used in the Diamond league, and people in that league probably have ways to counter it.

I'm actually more concerned about the Cursed Slimeball. I think that one does way too much to determine the outcome of a battle for only 1 mana. Especially a low mana cost battle. At least that one has to make it to level 6 before it gets that ability, though.

At one point, in the Discord, I saw someone talking about how the Cursed Slimeball was OP, and I thought they were joking. I looked at it as a creeping ooze but without the slow ability. I hadn't seen one with the redemption ability in action, though.

I agree that it was OP. I think redemption should be -1 and introduced at level three for the gremlin.
