*Comment what you think of the steem hard fork. If your in the dark the basics are people who earn 20 steem or more on their post will start to earn more and people who earn less than 20 steem will earn less.

(to me its as simple as giving people with power more power and money at the hands of the little guys, not cool)

I'm kind of scared about all the bad things people are saying about it, but we'll see what'll happen...

Also, they say it's 20 STEEM, not $20. 20 STEEM would appear in the rewards as something around $4.50 (like the value in SBD)... though that's still a lot to us small fish too. My posts usually don't even get to $1...

I think the idea is to keep the investors who are going to earn the most, they just don't understand that without the little ones there will be no real organic growth

It’s 20 STEEM not 20 dollars so that’s around 3 and a half bucks and current value! I’d like to see it in action before I make my judgement since theirs so much else at play that will affect it! It harms self upvoting, downvotes will also add more money to the reward pool, we will see more manual curation and curation trails and well bid bots are also going to change! We won’t know for sure how the curve will settle in and be set each day

I curate manually and use up all my daily VP. I (and many others like me) simply cannot increase it. Where will the curation come from?

Not only that, but the vote rewards qill become 50/50 instead of 75/25...
And the big hodlers will get some free downvotes with a special pool...

SF21 doesn't sound good to me as I'm earn way less than $20 on my posts. I've made my peace with it though as there's nothing that can be done to stop it. I'm waiting to see what the reality is in a few weeks and will then decide what, if anything, I will change.

I earn way below 20 on my posts, so I expect my post payouts will drop. I don't think people suddenly will start voting differently or more. I wont for sure since I already use all my VP. So people saying that we will get more votes doesn't make much sense to me really. And where will those vote come from if everyone already votes with the VP they have?

It looks that people that earn that 20 on posts will earn even more (+ larger curation) and the small fish that already earn some scraps will earn even less.
The gap will only get bigger and bigger...

I just hope that some of that loss will be covered up by the curation earnings that should go up.

if this is a thing that just happens on its own then that sucks but kinda makes sense it would happen. if this is a thing the steem devs are putting into steem. than what the actual @#$% are they thinking? that is so not cool.

I think it is bad. Most newbies earn less than 20 steem a post so they will be hurt. Not a good way to grow the user base.
