Using The Maxed Archmage Arius For the First Time
Hi Everyone,
I was one of the lucky winners of the @contestkings monthly draw and won a delegation to use the max Archmage Arius for a few weeks. I didn't even know it was a maxed card until I had a chat with @o07 which then he told me. I've never used a maxed summoner before and let alone one of the most sought cards on Splitnerlands. I haven't been playing hard core recently and still currently in the gold league when he told me.
At the moment, I probably need to move up the league first to use it to its max capacity but at the same time, my other supporting cards are not maxed so can't use it to the full potential. I did though try to use the card a few times on the low league and only on higher mana games to test things out. Mostly were wins but a few lose which I need to see what I have done differently.
Any tips on how to maximise the power of this card? Once I move up to Diamond league I will be able to know what to do and hopefully move myself to Diamond 1 if I am lucky this time.

If anything I've found him slightly stronger in the silver-gold leagues. Higher mana caps certainly help too. Cards that attack twice, either because they have two attack types, or double strike; (or both, in the case of the Vigilator) or blast; all good options for maximising that boost to attack damage. Look at cards you may not play often, like Pirate archer. 2 mana to do 3 ranged dmg, with blast; is hard to argue with :)

That card only comes maxed out. It's a lot more useful now than it used to be, both because of the more realistic mana cost of 5 instead of 6 and because of some double attack monsters.
I use it in Reverse Speed matches when I would like to use some of the other legendary summoners, but three of them have speed boosts. Prince Rennyn was much better when he had a +2 ranged attack instead of the speed boost, but now I can use Archmage and get more attack boosts and no speed boosts.
I like the Dragon Splinter for Earthquake battles, too. There are a lot of powerful cards with the flying ability.
