Finding a GOLD CARD with my lucky MENE box!: My Splinterlands Journey #11 for #MeneMonday

Since I started this series of articles "My Splinterlands Journey", I've completed many Daily Quest and as a result have opened many Quest Rewards Cards.

I just assumed that there are no gold cards from Quest Rewards. Why did I think that? Well... I must have had over twenty Quest Reward Cards opening and I have not found a single gold card from Quest Rewards.

The other day, I completed a Quest using the Water Splinter fast in five straight wins!

I thought to myself 🤔... Why not bring out my Lucky Mene Box!. I have nothing to lose 😜! So why not 😁?

So here we go!!! Come on Lucky Mene Box... find me a GOLD CARD !!!

I am still home... but work is coming to me today. My core staff are coming over for a defriend... and they want to get my input on something. Congratulations on the GF a d legendary cards. Those lucky mene boxes are definitely very lucky. How did you get 10 reward cards are you running any potions?

Yes, I bought a Quest potion for 750 DEC and it got me 5 more cards than my usual for my rating. I am glad that someone told me about the potions. It was my first experience to use one. There is just so much to know about Splinterands. Two days to go to the end of the season, and my cards aren't leveled up enough to get to Gold level 1, and when the Rule Set is a combination of two rules, my odds of losing the battle are high.... arrrgh!

I learnt something new today too. I just found out you can buy individual day potions. You only used to be able to by multiples! I'm definitely going to be doing ut tomorrow now.

Sorry what I mean was - theyve changed how you buy "quest potions". You used to only be able to buy them in bulk, but now you can just spend 750 DEC and buy a flat, one-off 5 bonus cards.

Now your making me want to try splinter lands, I still haven’t taken the plunge my friend. It looks like fun, and I know Spinvest investment in the packs is appreciated. I’ll just watch for a bit my friend...😊🤗🥰

I did not get into the game right away... I think it took me a year and a half before I tried my first game. Afterwhich, I dilly-dallied a couple of months more. It can be addicting if you let it be so. But it is a fun and challenging game. I seldom join tournaments, I just play for fun, and earn more cards... and oh yes, you earn DEC (equivalent to steem) every time you win, and the cards appraise in value, some slow, some fast. There maybe different motivations and reasons why one may want to get into the game. Let me know if you want to try playing a battle.

The Mrs was gifted some cards, maybe eventually one of us will take the plunge!
She is looking into Appics a new phone app, on the steem blockchain we will see where this goes...

Is your user name the same in Splinterlands, my friend @elizabethbit? They are fun to have. For a year, I just looked at them and the beautiful graphics of the cards. It took me more than a year before I started playing. This is the first online game I ever played. Let me know your user name!
