I have seen the card used against me and unsurprisingly I lost the game.
Technically there is a protection, you can use Enchanted Defender (common Promo neutral card) which has only 1 health but 6 armor and Thorns at level 5. If the Harpy attacks it, the Harpy should be dead by the second round.
I haven't tried it though.

Interesting information. Enchanted Defender is a cheap card and I barely see it used. If more of these 'Opportunity' cards come along, then it's value will increase.
