Splinterlands Updates - Uniswap, Land Presale & More

With excitement building as the first land presale stage rapidly approaches, we wanted to give a quick update about some changes that have been implemented in order to get ready for the land sale and also answer some player questions that have come up around the presale, the mystery potions, and the Uniswap LP rewards.

Inventory View

Many of you have likely already noticed that a new screen has been added into the game which allows players to view and manage their non-card digital assets held in their Splinterlands game accounts. This new screen is accessible by using the new toggle option found at the top of the card collection screen.

Currently the new inventory screen shows each player's in-game token balances as well as any Title items they own, and it allows the Titles to be transferred to other players for the first time. Once the first land presale begins, players will also be able to view and manage their land claim and raffle ticket tokens from the inventory screen, including transferring them to other players in-game or transfering them to Hive Engine where they can be sold on the market there.

In the near future this screen will also show the Summoner's Spellbook item for players who have purchased it, though it is still non-transferrable. It will merely be a way for players to visually confirm that they have purchased the Summoner's Spellbook and that they have it in their account, which has been a common request / source of confusion for new players.

Additionally, in the near future the inventory screen will be updated to show more items such as card skins and other new items that are planned to be added such as custom avatars.

Mystery Potion Update

As the current Mystery Potion special card - the Mighty Dricken - is rapidly approaching its print limit of 90 total cards, we wanted to provide a quick update about the Mystery Potion rewards going forward.

While we like the idea of special, very limited print cards, from a practical perspective it is extremely difficult to design those cards in such a way as to make them very desired and powerful without also giving a big advantage to the small number of players who will ever be able to own them.

As a result, we do not plan to create any new Mystery Potion special cards for the foreseeable future, and will instead be adding other prizes to the available Mystery Potion rewards that will have a relatively similar total value.

Once the Mighty Dricken hits its print limit, the Mystery Potion will start to award land plot claim tokens at a rate of exactly 5 per day for 200 days, for a total of 1,000 land plot claims to be awarded as Mystery Potion prizes.

First Land Presale Start Date

The first stage of the Splinterlands land presale starts TOMORROW at 11 AM ET / 16:00 UTC. When the presales were announced we unfortunately did not take daylight savings time into account for our US players and the time was listed in Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) instead of Eastern Standard Time (EST).

We want to make sure all US-based players are clear that the presale will start at 11:00 AM EST and not 12:00 PM as originally stated. Please note that the time in UTC and all other non-US timezones has not changed and the countdown timer on the Splinterlands website was and remains accurate.

We want to wish everyone the best of luck in the presale and region lottery tomorrow, and we want to encourage anyone who is not able to get land in the first presale to stick around for the next one. All three of the land presale stages should provide fantastic opportunities to pick up a very scarce and in-demand asset for significant discounts!

Uniswap LP Rewards

As most of you know, the first of three 30-day periods for the Uniswap Liquidity Provider reward promotion ended on Nov. 1st. 1,000 free land plot claims were up for grabs during the period for any players who provided liquidity to the DEC-ETH Uniswap pool.

Participants will receive 1 free land plot claim for each 0.1% of the total pool liquidity that they provided over the 30-day period (rounded to the nearest 0.1%). As we have mentioned, the ~$50k worth of liquidity provided by Splinterlands was excluded from the rewards calculations.

The results for the first 30-day period are shown in the table below. Please note that participants who did not provide enough liquidity over the period to receive a free land plot claim will still be eligible to receive free raffle ticket tokens at the end of the full 90 day promotion.

We expect that the Uniswap LP rewards for the first 30-day period will be available to claim through the Splinterlands website within the next week.

We also want to remind everyone that, even though the first phase of the Uniswap LP promotion is over, there are still two phases left with an additional 1,000 free land plot claims available for each and a total of 100,000 free raffle tickets available at the end of the promotion, so it's definitely not too late to contribute and earn some amazing rewards!
