App crashes when i tried to call a number after dialing on dialpad which is already on my contacts

Describe the issue:

When i opened an app and i called a number which is in my contact list and then i dialed same number on dialpad, then tried to call that number. After clicking on call icon, app crashes.

What to expect:

When dialing a same number on dialpad and then clicking on call icon, it should properly call that number.

How to reproduce:

  • Open an app.
  • Dial a number which is already in your contact list.
  • Call that number by directly clicking on that number.
  • Cancel the call and it will left you on dialpad.
  • If the number is already dialed, then click on Call icon on the left side to reproduce the bug.

Hi @xee-shan, thanks for making this report

I see the PO has acknowledged the report. A logcat would have been really helpful to help determine what led to the crash. The behavior is particularly strange. I noticed it inserted the values "%20" to the start and middle of the phone number entered. The crash can be as a result of the unexpected special character "%" in the dialed number
