Carried With Those Sweet Names.

I was on top of the world hearing my husband's voice with what I loved him called me with, and I am still on top of the world hearing those sweet names. Not only that, but I have always longed for a man of my choice—a man who would call me sweetheart. A man that I would start all over with, but not a man who has it all. I have heard that when you start a relationship with a man who has everything, you will not be at peace as the man will take you for granted, but when you start a relationship with a man from scratch, you will be respected as you will stay together to build up your lives. This is the sweetest side of a relationship, which I cherish so much.

The sweetest thing that I ever cherished, apart from a man calling me sweetheart, was when a man called me sweet names. I found these in the man who came into my life, which is my husband. He is such a sweet man who I cannot do without.

Above all, when I was still single but not searching, this young man walked up to me and told me he liked me. I was thinking he was joking because it would be my first time seeing him. I smiled at it and walked away. He saw me the next day and said the same thing to me. I paused and rethought those words once and again before realizing what he meant.

I had never given any man a listening ear while still single, not because I was selective, but because it was not yet time for me to take that rubbish. I don't know what I felt before listening to him. Although he made some statements that I would never forget, those statements made me weak. “Although it's the second time seeing you, I need to call you some names, sweetheart.” Immediately, he called me that name, and I felt it was a common thing every girl has heard from a man. I thought he was going to stop there, but he proceeded, “My rising sun, my sunshine...” He kept talking, but the one that made me weak and made me look at him with a smiling face was the one he called out to be “my magnificent.” No one had ever called me that sweet name before.

Looking at him, he was not too bad and was someone that every woman would love to have. I looked at him from head to toe and saw my kind of man. I immediately gave him a listening ear. We talked at length and smiled after saying jokey words to each other. He was fun to be with.

After my departure, I got home and was just thinking about the sweet names he poured on me. As I was thinking, he was regurgitating and ruminating, just like a ruminating animal, before his call came in. I sighed and said, “Speaking of the devil.” I will never forget this scene. We spoke at length. Each day, he must call me at least five times and for more than 20 minutes per call. When he wants to end the call, he will say, “My sunshine, my rising sun, my magnificent, my all in all.” These sweet names kept me lively and moving towards loving him more.

After about a week, he brought his friends to my house and proposed to me in the presence of my parents. I could not believe that I was getting engaged to him.

We later got married, and we were living just like yesterday. Everything he used to say, including the sweet words, is still his lifestyle. Our love has been increasing day in and day out and still keeps on going without issues. Now, his sweet words have given us four kids—a girl and three boys. What else should I hope for? Those sweet names can make me go on the high side. Anytime we were having little issues, he wouldn't hesitate to voice out those sweet names. These names can always make me go, Gaga.

I still listen to those sweet names, today and forever.
