My choice was welcome

Three years ago, we were searching for a piece of land to build on. Presently, we are in a different location from our hometown. We moved around the city, looking for a half-plot of land, but our search was to no avail.

After two months, we were taken to another piece of land, which seemed not too good in my view. It was backward and also on the outskirts of the town. We tried to seek other options but were left with nothing.

Two days later, a friend of my husband came around. My husband just told him that we needed a half-plot of land. He said he had someone who was into land, and he was sure he would be able to give us what we wanted. I was so excited to hear that. My husband's friend called the land agent, who in turn asked them to go see him. They left and indeed saw a palatable place. It was cool from my husband's view, but I had yet to see the place. Although the amount was a little too high, My husband tried to beat the money down, but the agent refused. He stood on the same initial amount.

When my husband got home, I asked him to take me to the land just to have a view of the environment. The fact remains that I'm a businesswoman who knows the best view of where I would market my business. So, he took me to the environment and saw a different view from my husband. To my husband, it was a perfect place—a place filled with less noise and a place where he could read without distractions. He was happy with the option and the location. When we got to the location, I told my husband, “Honey, this location is perfect and the best.”.

My husband smiled and even answered, “You know I have eyes for good views.”.

I could not wait to answer him in return, as women are the ones to decide on things like this: “Do you know I'm a businesswoman?”

“Yes, I knew before choosing this location," he said.

“But this place will not favor me. I would not be able to market my business to the best of my ability. People would not know my worth, I said to him as he began to rethink his idea. “How come I did not think of that initially?” He asked.

My view was quite different from my husband's. We later agreed to leave that piece of land for another one. We searched and could not get one. My husband brought an idea, which I bought. He said we should buy the piece of land (a half plot) in our hometown, which was the best idea, although he gave his reasons for his idea. He said, "I think buying a half plot of land in our hometown will be nice, as we would rent it out and be using the money for something else."

This is the best idea so far. I contacted my mom to help us look for one, which she later did. She arranged for it, and my husband traveled home just to see the position of the land. It was indeed his best idea. He also considered my standpoint on the business side of it before buying the lamp. Although renting one part does not mean we would not have a place to fall back to, We would also build a place where we would stay anytime we traveled home. So it must also fit my business ideas.

My view is always paramount as a wife.
