Splinterlands Social Media Challenge - The Immortalis Summoner

Greetings to all Splinterlands warlocks, I am here once again, and I welcome you all to my blog as well, Today, I write to submit and share my entry to the Splinterlands Social Media Challenge. This week we have a topic that goes by the theme "tips for beginners". I will be sharing a battle with you guys, and I hope you guys are ready to read and learn from my strategy used in battling my opponents. Without much ado, let's dive into the topic straight forward.

Per the ruleset of the game, Magic attacks hit Armor before reducing Health. I used my account @abu78 to participate in this battle. I am currently playing in the Silver league of the Wild Format. Before I demonstrate the battle here, let's briefly look into the game's Ruleset.

Ruleset Icon	Description
Weak Magic	Magic attacks hit Armor before reducing Health. Protect, Repair, Rust are useful in this ruleset. Beware the opponent could choose only Melee and Ranged monsters, so keep a tank with Shield.
Lost Legendary	Legendary Monsters may not be used in battles. There are no special tricks for this ruleset.
Reach	Melee attack Monsters with the Reach ability may attack from the second position on the team

Summoner:

I chose the "IMMORTALIS summoner". It was a 37-mana game condition and I had to manage my card selection to suit that. I chose the IMMORTALIS summoner so that my opponent's monsters would have a decrease in health. It also gives my monsters the void ability. I added the Goblin Psychic and Wood Nymph monsters so it restored my first-position monster's health. My team lineup comprised Ulundin Overseer, Mercilic Morphoid, Katrelba Gobson, Goblin Psychic, Wood Nymph, and Uraeus. I also added Katrelba Gobson which increases in stats after eliminating any monster.

1st Position:

Ulundin Overseer, this card has the reach ability. It is an 11-mana monster with a speed of 1, 0 melee attack damage, and 12 health with 5 armor protection.

Round 1:

First, all monsters took their effect from the summoner by reducing my opponent's monster's health and giving my monsters the void ability. My opponent's lineup comprised six monsters including the Venari Marksrat, Quora Towershead, Katrelba Gobson, Goblin Psychic, Madcap Magus, and Fungus Flinger.

In the first round, the Quora Towershead from my opponent's lineup attacked first with both the magic and melee attacks. Katrelba Gobson in my opponent's lineup also attacked my last-positioned monster but couldn't eliminate it. Uraeus monster in my lineup then attacked Fungus Flinger in my opponent's last position. Psychic Goblin attacked Venari Marksrat after which Wood Nymph also attacked it and was able to eliminate that. Before the round came to an end, my Katrelba Gobson monster attacked and eliminated both Fungus Flinger and Madcap Magus monsters from my opponent's lineup. At the end of the round, I was able to eliminated three monsters from my opponent's team.

Round 2:

In this round, as usual, the Quora Towershead monster attacked first followed by my opponent's Katrelba Gobson which was able to eliminate two of my monsters in this round.

My Katrelba Gobson monster also attacked and eliminated two monsters including my opponent's Katrelba Gobson monster. Psychic Goblin restored Ulundin Overseer's health to 11 before the round came to an end. At the end of the round, I was able to eliminate two of my opponent's monsters, and only Quora monster was left in my opponent's lineup.

Round 3:

In this round, it was a very easy battle for me. My Katrelba Gobson was the monster with the highest speed in this round and so it attacked first. With the 6 melee damage attacks it was having, I was able to eliminate the Quora Towershead monster in just one round of attacks without my opponent attacking me in this round.
