Splinterlands Social Media Challenge - Theme: Rebellion!

Greetings to all Splinterlands warlocks, I am here once again, and I welcome you all to my blog as well, Today I write to submit and share my entry to the Splinterlands Social Media Challenge. This week it's a new challenge altogether and we are expected to write on the new rebellion cards that are yet to be added to the Splinterlands gaming soon.

The presale which was launched on the 18th of October is still ongoing and one can still go on to purchase some in case you haven't done so yet. As of the time I was writing this article, the remaining rebellion pack were 233,473 Packs which can be seen from the screenshot shared below.

As a beginner player in Splinterlands, I didn't just fold my hands watching it without making any purchase, I also tried my best and purchased 4 packs before the presale ran out of packs. It's too small, but I think there are more days ahead because the presale ends in 26 days' time which probably I might get some funds to purchase more before it's launched.

Are you wondering about the unique features of these cards yet? Worry no more I got you here in this post. The new set of cards is coming up with great abilities and add-ons that are very powerful to have in your lineup. One of the abilities includes; the corrosive ward ability. With this ability when an opponent is attacked with a melee, two damages are done to the attacker's armor if that unit has the corrosive ward ability.

Also, the armored strike is another new ability that the rebellion set of cards will be coming up with. With this ability, an additional melee attack is gained by any unit possessing such ability and it will do that per the armor stat.

Again, the Lookout ability is one of the new abilities that the rebellion set cards will be coming up with. With this ability, adjacent monsters will receive less damage from opportunity, sneak, and snipe monsters.

The rebellion set of cards also comes with summoners as well and with that, they will also have a new feature that is known to be called the multi-element summoners and summoner tactics. With this new feature, players can choose two cards when creating a team so as to have a choice of selection during the start of the battle. Also, another new mechanic known as the summoner tactics will grant summoners two different sets of debuffs or buffs and the player can choose between the two of them which one to use in battle after the teams have been revealed.

I think after the launch of these sets of cards, the game will totally change to my belief indeed. Not to forget, the new set of collections will consist of 96 cards and they will replace the untamed cards in the modern format which I learned will be the first time such is happening in the Splinterlands game.

In order to purchase a pack, it costs 5,000 DEC, or you can purchase it with 4,000 DEC + 5 VOUCHER tokens. Similarly, credits can be used to purchase these packs as well, and it also requires 5000 Credits or 4000 credits + 5 VOUCHER tokens. In using the voucher tokens, a 20% discount is given, so I encourage you all to use that payment method especially if you want to purchase a huge number of packs.

Also, the presale has advantages and rewards for the first 250 people with the highest purchase in the leaderboard after the presale is over. This is given below:

Position 1 - 30 - "The Dawnbringer" Legendary Title
Position 31 - 100 - "The Defiant" Epic Title
Position 101 - 250 - "The Rebel" Rare Title

Also, there are two promo cards that will be given to players who purchase the rebellion cards during the presale period. These cards are the MANTAROTH and the GRIMBARDN SMITH monsters.

Woot, these are indeed nice and great monsters which I am eager to get as well. I wish I could also buy more of the packs to stand a chance of winning some of those promo cards. Just as I said, maybe before the presale ends, I might purchase more of the packs and can also stand a chance as well.
