Splinterlands art contest --- Drawing of Medusa

I want to welcome you all to my splinterlands art contest post for this week, its been a wonderful experience since I've joined and the feeling has not changed a bit. First of all congrats to all the winners of last weeks contest and thanks to the sponsors of this contest and the minds behind it giving artist a chance to show what they can do. This week my entry is a graphite drawing of the character Medusa. Medusa is a very beautiful lady with snakes as her hair and anyone who looks into her beautiful eyes turn into a statue.

This drawing took quite sometime to finish but i really love every bit of it because i learnt some new techniques will making this drawing. I guess the more drawing one does the more you get the chance to improve. So at first i did the sketch of the image which was the out line before bringing out the big gun which was by 6B Bianyo pencil. My sketch was already set with all the features i need for my drawing so what's left out was just the shading. I shaded and I'm loving the out come of the image.
