IF WE GO FULL BEAR MARKET, DEC REWARDS ARE IN TROUBLE

I've alluded to this in past videos and posts, but I wanted to bring it up again as we see Bitcoin and the market taking yet another leg down. The hype and euphoria of Q4 has worn off and while we never got our blow off top, it does seem that the wind has been completely taken out of the sails on this bull run.

So if we go full bear market, DEC rewards are going to dry up quickly.

I've done the calculations previously, and basically we went from $225k issued in DEC rewards daily during the ATH for DEC price around $0.015 to around $9k today with the price closer to $0.003. If DEC were to reach it's peg value, that would bring us to $1k per day in rewards which is drastically lower than where it used to be.

Granted, the peg is where things are supposed to be, but the player base has still grown tremendously despite the cool off period this market has forced upon us. I'm confident the team has thought this through, but I'm curious to see how a solution would be implemented to keep the incentive to play as high as possible.

For now though, reward cards still seem to be worth it especially if you are playing in Silver and above. We know SPS rewards for Ranked Battle wins are coming, but that is not a long term solution, just another SPS distribution method.

Regardless, this is just an accumulation phase and the people who stick around to continue playing and building their assets will be very happy whenever the next bull run comes around - be it in a month or 3 years.
