HOW MANY PACKS TO BUY FOR PHASE 2?

Now that the Phase 2 airdrops have been revealed for the Chaos Legion sale along with the guaranteed minimum details, the question of how many vouchers/packs to get is one that is on everyone's mind.

Let's first assume these are cards that you want, and therefore going after the them as airdrops rather than buying off the market is the goal.

We know from the official post that 300 packs bought during the pre-sale and phase 2 will guarantee 1 of each card as an airdrop. This includes all bonus packs received as well which is actually quite huge!

Let's break down how many you will need in order to level them up. As Legendary cards, these are the BCX requirements per level.

Level 1 - Bronze - 1 BCX
Level 2 - Silver - 3 BCX
Level 3 - Gold - 6 BCX
Level 4 - Max - 11 BCX

This would breakdown by pack quantity as follows:

Level 1 - 300 Packs
Level 2 - 900 Packs
Level 3 - 1800 Packs
Level 4 - 3300 Packs

Now let's assume you are currently at 0 packs. If you already have some then you are already ahead of the curve. If we include the bonus packs, this is how many would need to be bought with vouchers.

Level 1 - 273 Vouchers/Packs
Level 2 - 783 Vouchers/Packs
Level 3 - 1566 Vouchers/Packs
Level 4 - 2750 Vouchers/Packs

From a cost perspective, here is what you would be looking at with and without vouchers (based on the current $2.50 on Hive Engine).

Level 1 - $1,092 if you have vouchers already, $1,774.50 if you don't.
Level 2 - $3,132 if you have vouchers already, $5,089.50 if you don't.
Level 1 - $6,264 if you have vouchers already, $10,179 if you don't.
Level 1 - $11,000 if you have vouchers already, $17,875 if you don't.

Whether it is worth it to spend that amount is up to each individual but keep in mind that the airdrop cards are just a bonus - you actually are buying packs which contain potentially even more value!
