THE HUGE MOAT AROUND SPLINTERLANDS

As you may have seen from previous posts, I have been spending some time exploring other play to earn games in the space and Defi Kingdoms is one that I am very intrigued by.

What has been interesting over the past week or so is seeing complaints by the community about copycat games popping up - namely one called Defira.

This got me thinking about how complex of a game Splinterlands is, as well as how robust the economy and ecosystem is compared to many others in the space. Now Defi Kingdoms is a phenomenal platform, but the gameplay is simple and the idea can be copied by any other wannabe decentralized exchange. That doesn't mean Defi Kingdoms or Defira can't develop into fantastic projects, I'm not throwing shade on them by any means.

But it does signal to me that Splinterlands has a huge creative moat built around it due to the complexities in the game and economy. That's a good thing, actually a great thing. It would be very difficult to copy Splinterlands which makes it that much more valuable.

Just thought I'd share this perspective with you and why I continue to remain very bullish on the game!
