A lot of people have given the same feedback as you about having the rewards be updated at the same time. I had the same struggle going up to a league earning less chests overall, although the quality was higher. Only a week to go though so in the grand scheme of things I believe this will just be a small blip.

I hope it'll be a small blip eventually, it the update was done together, it could have just made the adjustmentment timeline smaller and overall, better. Hopefully, it won't be much of a hassle by April 2.
