Should The Flywheel Get One More Chance?

In this video, I respond to a comment on my YouTube channel regarding the flywheel and how sentiment around has completely faded. This was once the main draw around the tokenomics and getting it right would have sent SPS to the moon. At this point though, we've seen too many holes poked in the strategy and the recirculation of DEC from the DAO for previous projects only hampered the flywheel actually taking off. My thoughts at this point are to let DEC naturally burn away whatever excess there is - which is a lot - and not worry about the flywheel at all. We should price packs in USD or USDC for the team and DAO to have in order to pay expenses. It may sound extreme, but I'm willing to try something new.

Players profit >players reinvest > asset price goes up > players profit > players reinvest > asset price goes up > Players profit >players reinvest > asset price goes up > players profit > players reinvest > asset price goes up > Players profit >players reinvest > asset price goes up > players profit > players reinvest > asset price goes up

That is the fywheel we need. Worked great during Alpha and Beta. Back to scarcity: I understand the need to have something for sale all the time but doing so put a buzzkill on the urgency and fomo for assets. It also put a heavy bearing load on profit making on secondary markets. That profit (seemed) to be heavily reinvested back into Spinterlands by investors and players. Come up with a number that we think the community will eat up for any individual asset and then supply less than. Let things run out. That is how to ensure they are worth more after the sale. Lets have the "sold out" sign making a come back. Lets have no packs available for sale other than secondary packs for months out of the year. Eventually bring in SPS-B and function an airdrop around it like we did with SPS. Finding the mechanics for SPS-B, that is something within itself. Possible solution is to allow SPS-B to function the same way SPS does but without the voting rights. SPS-B could potentially be perishable somehow. Once staked vanishes after 30 days. Just some thoughts of the top of my head. Shit, some sort of DEC perishing feature could help diminish the DEC supply as well. Stake XXXX amount of DEC and mine X reward for seven days. DEC vanishes after the seven days is up. Stake more to continue mining. I know its hard to take these shots because of the general market these days. I been here since the start and I think the team has done great things with the game.
