$600M AXIE INFINITY HACK (WHAT THIS MEANS FOR P2E)
In this video, I cover how the Axie Infinity hack will affect Splinterlands and the broader P2E space. While there is no direct impact to Splinterlands, this does leave a stain on P2E as it shakes the confidence of those within the games, as well as those considering entering.
Right now, with such a small amount of people in the space, anything that shakes confidence will stunt growth. Combine this with a current bear market and uncertain global macroeconomic factors and it may be awhile before P2E seens any kind of mainstream traction.
That being said, the silver lining is that it will remind and force many projects to double their efforts on security so nothing like this happens to them.
