7M PACKS SOLD, SPIRIT HOARDER DETAILS, & WHY THE HIGH MINIMUM RATE?
First off, a big congrats to the team and community for hitting 7 million packs sold! We have unlocked the next airdrop for Chaos Legion:
Spirit Hoarder
I am a big fan of this card because of the Triage ability at level 1, meaning you get it in Bronze! Most times, you will see monsters getting cool abilities at much higher levels so to see something on the ground floor where everyone can play with it is awesome. It makes for a fantastic support card and now you will have the ability to pair it up with other Triage monsters to get a double heal on the backline. It's going to change the meta like crazy!
As for the 500 pack minimum to receive the airdrop, that was definitely disappointing. I understand the math behind it, and the main culprit is the fact that less than half of packs bought have been opened - meaning most pack buyers are investors right now. With that being the case, in order to reserve enough BCX for Spirit Hoarder to be opened in packs, there would be less for the airdrop and thus the minimum threshold had to be raised.
My only gripe is that I wish it had been communicated sooner. I know many in the community were disappointed, and while I understand the team has a lot going on, it ended up being a much bigger jump from the previous airdrops than anybody anticipated. At least we know moving forward how the math behind this works and will watch more closely to see where the ecosystem is at.

I thought it was really interesting to see them point to a post from a community member when they jumped to 500 airdrop points per guaranteed Soul Hoarder.

I racked up 409 airdrop points and got the 0 Soul Hoarders that I was guaranteed. I hope that they give us a better heads up about how many airdrop points will be required for the next one, but I doubt that I can afford to get all the airdrop points I would need. I tried working it out.

My math game isn't as strong as what Neal did but the exercise helped me solidify where I would be focusing my resources while we move forward.
