This week, we I decided to join again on @spl-contest and @bunsbagsandcaps contest of creating your own contest. My initial idea was to make a Pacifist Battle Contest. The idea is to have a battle where you don't use any units with attack to win. It is possible because starting round 20, you go into Fatigue rounds where units gets damaged each round. There are also modifiers that damages units directly such as Earthquake modifier, Noxious Fumes modifier and Global Warming modifier. The issue with this is even though it's unique, it is too hard to execute. I can go into extreme details but that's not why we're here.

My submission for this week is a much simpler one but also still tricky. You can say that this is a more advanced and difficult version of Rise of the Commons modifier. So, my contest is to win a battle with only Rare cards... not units, cards. Here are the details of my idea.

📝 Contest Title: A Rare Battle

🎯 Objective / Goal:

Your goal is to show and win a battle where you only uses Rare units with a Rare archon in Modern Ranked Format. If you think that's easy, try to do it with anything other than water for more of a challenge. I was only able to do it with Water Element so it is definitely a challenge to do it in other elements.

• Must be your original strategy
• Include the tag #splinterlands

• Only one entry per person

• The article must have battle. (Winning battles are a bonus)
• You must use a Rare archon and Rare units.
• Only one element must be used. (If you use water element, you can only use water element without neutral units. Those using Dragon element must only use Dragon cards regardless of the second element picked)
• The battle must be done in Modern Ranked Format.

🏆 Judging Criteria

• Creativity - Some entries might overlap with each other but the strategy would not. In cases where multiple entries are functionally the same, the first entry will always have the advantage and so on.
• League - The higher the league you played with the battle, the better.
• Synergy - Did you have solid strategy in mind or just added the rare cards you can find? Choice is up to yours.

💡 Why It’s Fun / Unique

You can use the concept in multiple ways to create multiple contests. You can have Common only, Epic only, Legendary only, with Neutrals included, etc.

This was surprisingly harder than I thought. With you limiting your choices by a large margin, it's hard to compete against enemies that doesn't have to do it.

I was able to do it initially with Neutrals and found it too easy so I limited it more with just the Water Element. I had a good run with a Life element build with Avina of the Wolf but the enemy has Lorkus so that wasn't fun towards the end. This is more doable though than my pacifist challenge idea so I am going with this one.
