I Love Free Stuff

In this battle, Equalizer Modifier sets all units health to the highest base health in the match. This means even low health units suddenly become very tanky. Because of this, fights last longer which makes damage more important. I believe I won this battle mainly because of Maud Stonefoot. A 0 mana unit getting boosted health from Equalizer Modifier is very strong. Imagine having a 0 mana unit with 9 health and 2 magic damage at the back. That must've been more annoying to my enemies than usual since they have to deal with him first before getting to more important units.

I believe I won this battle simply because of Maud Stonefoot. I love having a 0 mana unit getting insane stats for free. A free unit getting free stats is very overpowered in my opinion. Without this unit, the enemy's Tidal Tsunamist should've started killing my units from the back starting with Mystic Weaver, my damage dealer for this battle. Because of Maud Stonefoot and Equalizer modifier, Tidal Tsunamist has to go through Maud Stonefoot first before dealing damage to my more important units.

Modifier 1: Equalizer: The initial Health of all Units is equal to that of the Units on either team with the highest base Health.

My Lineup:

With Equalizer modifier, I wanted to use the numbers most. I want to fill my lineup with units while still having the best magic team possible due to Marlai Singariel. I will be mentioning the unit's original health but note that everyone will have 9 health due to Equalizer modifier.

Marlai Singariel: Gives +1 magic damage to all units which is very strong. Since I used full magic damage lineup, the bonus becomes very noticeable. Every unit benefits from the boost which increases total damage a lot. Magic damage is also perfect for Equalizer Modifier because it ignores armor. This allows me to chip away the shared health quickly. Marlai Singariel is a perfect fit for this strategy.

Daigendark Surveyor: Costs only 2 mana and has no attack but decent base health. He also has Magic Reflect which is useful against magic teams. His health becomes high in Equalizer modifier which makes him more useful. Even without attack, he can absorb damage for the team and return the magic damage back to enemies. He works as my main tank for this battle.

Quillstorm Mage: Costs 5 mana with 1 magic damage and low base health. It also has Opportunity which allows attacking from anywhere. With Equalizer Modifier, the low health problem disappears. This makes Opportunity slightly more useless since there's no "lowest health unit" to target since everyone has the same health at the start. It's still fine though since his role is more like a tank to delay the damage to the two main damage dealer at the back.

Ujurak Elder: Costs 3 mana with 1 magic damage and very low base health. It has Camouflage which prevents it from being targeted. Normally, I place him at the back but I tried something different here. I placed him near the front as a backup tank. With Equalizer Modifier, his health becomes high so he can survive and tank more. Once he moves to front, he can tank for the team. Ujurak Elder becomes more useful in this setup.

Abyssal Elemental: Main damage unit for this battle. Has 2 magic damage 2 armor and decent base health. Also has Resurgence which allows him to revive when Abyssal Elemental dies. With Equalizer Modifier, he revives with full boosted health. This makes him very hard to kill more than usual. Abyssal Elemental also gains more damage thanks to Marlai Singariel putting the damage to 3.

Mystic Scaleweaver: Has strong 3 magic damage and good base health. Also has Slow which reduces enemy speed. This helps my team attack first more often. I placed her in a safe position to protect her. Mystic Scaleweaver is one of my main damage dealers for this battle with her consistent 4 magic damage thanks to Marlai Singariel.

Maud Stonefoot: Costs 0 mana with very low base stats. Normally, she is not that useful but Equalizer Modifier changes everything. She gains high 9 health like everyone else for free. This makes her a free tank for the team. She blocks Sneak attacks and protects important units. Without her, my backline could have been exposed. Maud Stonefoot is the MVP in this battle in my opinion.

Equalizer Modifier made even weak units strong in this battle. Maud Stonefoot gave me a big advantage for free. With this unit defending my back for no mana cost at all, I had more units to use in the front and tank more.

A very useful card for that rule is Moxian Rebel, which, in addition to being neutral and having magic attacks, has the Weapons Training ability. This allows you to use two units without attacks so they can gain magic attacks, which will then be further boosted by the Water Archon. Cheers.
