What if Splinterlands characters represented astrological signs? Part 2 (ENG/PT)

Finally here is the second part of the series of posts where I analyze and relate Splinterlands to the Astrological Signs. I was very happy with how much people liked the first post, and I want to leave here my thanks to everyone who liked this idea and gave me the courage to continue.

I must admit that choosing the cards for Virgo and Libra was very difficult, but it was also an exciting task to reflect on the abilities of the cards and which ones would go with these specific signs, it even made me learn more about the game because I was paying more attention to detail than ever before when analyzing the cards in my deck. I hope you like the choices, and if you happen to have your own astrological sign and card combination suggestions, please leave them in the comments so I can see your thoughts.

Leo

Desert Dragon is the type of card that makes you very confident in battle. The card itself emits that feeling through that imposing Dragon drawn on it. Because it conveys such confidence, which makes a lot of sense because it is a powerful card, I believe it is a card that symbolizes the sign of Leo well. Leos are people who believe they can achieve anything, they are people easily noticed for their confidence and belief in themselves, and as much as this is a quality to a certain extent, it can become a big flaw if you feel you don't need the help of other people to achieve a goal (the same goes for when we have Dragon Desert in a battle, and we may mistakenly think that just by having it there, we will win.

Virgin

Virgos are known for being organized, methodical and very friendly people. And of all the cards I analyzed that could demonstrate these characteristics, Divine Sorceress was the one that most matched. In addition to the character's appearance, which is very beautiful and her clothes are in perfect condition, matching all the elements of the card, her ability is to ignore the attack of the first monster that attacks. To me, this ability is very Virgo, as it is a power that makes it clear that it will not let the order be broken. After the first attack, obviously, this card can be hit, however, just like in life itself; we can organize, but we cannot control the entropy that always tends to mess up what was in perfect condition.

Libra

I chose Scavo Chemist to be of the libra sign mainly because of its ability: The ability to remove the negative effects generated by the opposing team, on the monster of its own team that is in the first position. In my opinion, this skill makes it clear that you want to keep the battle balanced, and if there's something that defines Libra well, it's their need to always be in balance and to demonstrate maximum balance in their cycle of friendships and also in the family. Libra persons are usually calm and tend to show thoughtfulness in everything they do. In addition, it has a reputation for being a little slow when developing a task, which coincides with the fact that this card doesn't have that much speed.

Scorpion

For the Scorpio zodiac sign, I had more than one option for ability, they were: Affliction and Thorns. Thorns because Scorpios are known for being vengeful, and I believe this ability is well defined by the word Revenge. Although knowing this sign well, I can say that the truth is that Scorpios are very intense because they feel living in an intense and overwhelming way, everything they show tends to be greater, be it love, desire, or even revenge, but I don't believe they are vindictive in essence. As much as there may be this characteristic in some Scorpios, it's just the intensity acting there. So, taking that into account, Affliction was the skill that made the most sense to me, because if there's one thing that's certain about every Scorpio I've ever met, it's their ability to emotionally hurt a person, to the point that the person takes a long time to heal, in the case of Splinterlands, unless you have a healing card to help, it can be fatal. Therefore, the choice for the Scorpio sign was the Grim Reaper.

Finalmente aqui está a segunda parte da série de posts onde analiso e relaciono Splinterlands com os Signos Astrológicos. Fiquei muito feliz com o quanto as pessoas gostaram do primeiro post, e desde já quero deixar aqui meu agradecimento a todos que curtiram essa ideia e me deram ânimo para continuar.

Devo admitir que escolher as cartas para Virgem e Libra foi muito difícil, mas também foi uma tarefa excitante ficar refletindo sobre as habilidades das cartas e quais combinariam com esses signos em específico, isso inclusive me fez aprender mais sobre o jogo porque eu estava prestando mais atenção aos detalhes do que nunca ao analisar as cartas do meu baralho. Espero que vocês gostem das escolhas, e se por acaso tiverem suas próprias sugestões de combinação de carta e signos astrológico, por favor, deixe nos comentários para que eu possa ver sua opinião.

Leão

O Desert Dragon é o tipo de carta que deixa você muito confiante na hora de uma batalha. A própria carta emite essa sensação através desse Dragão imponente desenhado nela. Por transmitir tamanha confiança, o que faz bastante sentido pois é uma carta poderosa, acredito que é uma carta que simboliza bem o signo de Leão. Leoninos são pessoas que acreditam que podem alcançar qualquer coisa, são pessoas facilmente notadas por sua confiança e crença em si mesmos, e por mais que isso seja uma qualidade até certo ponto, pode se tornar um grande defeito se você achar que não precisa da ajuda de outras pessoas pra alcançar um objetivo ( o mesmo vale para quando temos o Dragon Desert numa batalha, e podemos pensar erroneamente que só por termos ela ali, venceremos.

Virgem

Virginianos são conhecidos por serem pessoas organizadas, metódicas e muito amigáveis. E de todas as cartas que analisei que poderiam demonstrar essas características, a Divine Sorceress foi a que mais combinou. Além da aparência da personagem, que é muito bonita e tem suas vestes em perfeito estado combinando com todos os elementos da carta, sua habilidade é a de ignorar o ataque do primeiro monstro que atacar. Para mim, essa habilidade é muito virginiana, pois é um poder que deixa claro que não deixará que a ordem seja quebrada. Depois do primeiro ataque, obviamente que essa carta pode ser atingida, porém, assim como na própria vida; podemos organizar, mas não podemos controlar a entropia que tende sempre a desarrumar o que estava em perfeito estado.

Libra

Escolhi o Scavo Chemist pra ser do signo de libra principalmente por causa de sua habilidade: A habilidade de remover os efeitos negativos gerados pelo time adversário, no monstro da própria equipe que está em primeira posição. Em minha opinião essa habilidade deixa claro que quer deixar a batalha equilibrada, e se tem algo que define bem librianos, é a sua necessidade de estar sempre em equilíbrio a de demonstrar o máximo de equilíbrio no seu ciclo de amizades e também no familiar. Librianos normalmente são calmos e tendam demonstrar uma ponderação para tudo o que fazem. Além disso, tem fama de serem um pouco lentos ao desenvolver alguma tarefa, o que coincide com o fato dessa carta não ter tanta velocidade.

Escorpião

Para o signo de Escorpião, tive mais de uma opção para habilidade; eram elas: Affliction e Thorns. Thorns porque escorpianos são conhecidos por serem vingativos, e acredito que essa habilidade é definida bem pela palavra Vingaça. Embora conhecendo bem esse signo, eu possa afirmar que a verdade é que escorpianos são muito intensos, por sentirem a vida de forma intensa e avassaladora, tudo o que eles demonstram tendem a ser maior, seja amor, seja desejo ou até mesmo a vingança, mas não acredito que sejam vingativos em essência. Por mais que possa haver essa característica em alguns escorpianos, é apenas a intensidade agindo ali. Então, levando isso em conta, Affliction foi a habilidade que fez muito mais sentido para mim, pois se tem uma coisa que é certa em todo escorpião que já conheci é a sua capacidade de machucar emocionalmente uma pessoa, a ponto da pessoa levar muito tempo para se curar, no caso de Splinterlands, a não ser que você tenha uma carta de cura para ajudar, pode ser fatal. Por isso, a escolha para o signo de escorpião foi o Grim Reaper.
